Basically admitting the sanction failed to stop Russia from selling oil to Western countries through intermediaries. And actual drop in Russian oil production will affect Western economies during election year.
I found it strange when the Russian government banned exports of gasoline claiming it was because they needed the fuel for their farmers while still allowing exports of diesel a couple months ago. Anyone who knows anything will know that farming vehicles use diesel and not gasoline. And what will you harvest or sow in the middle of winter anyway... not much of anything.
I think the Russians were sending a message here. A month or two after their export ban on gasoline the gasoline prices in the US spiked quite a lot. This was probably when the gap in available gasoline in the world market hit the US economy. I think this was a warning by the Russians. This year there will be elections in the US. The US population is highly sensitive to gasoline prices due to their car centric culture. Sitting US Presidents have lost elections before due to high gas prices. For example Jimmy Carter.
Yet the Ukrainians attacked Russian refineries anyway, so now the Russians will not only ban gasoline exports but also diesel exports. This has little impact on Russian oil export revenues, if anything it will lead to an increase in Russian crude oil exports since a lot of oil won't be refined in Russia anymore. The Russian military also only uses a tiny fraction of total fuel production. So there will be no impact on military operations.

Mass shooting and terrorist action at the Crocus town hall in Moscow. At least 40 killed and over 130 injured. The US has determined that this was conducted by ISIS.
IS not ISIS. Not that it matters too much. The Russians know who is pulling the strings behind the perps. The same people who funded the Chechen insurgents, the Uyghur insurgents, etc.

Russians have suffered minimal losses during the battle of Avdeevka. Ukrainians are the ones who sustained catastrophic casualties due to Zelenskyy's insistence on keeping the city under all costs.
What is considered minimal to you? 15k-20k? I mean it's no biggie for you since you're not doing the fighting but it is HUGE considering the goal is to take more than half of Ukraine if not all.

Ukraine is fighting for their existence if they don't fight they don't exist as a nation.

Here's some reading...
-In a post published on the Telegram messaging app on Feb. 18, a pro-war Russian military blogger cited an anonymous military source claiming that since October, Russian forces had sustained 16,000 “irreplaceable” human losses as well as that of 300 armored vehicles in the assault on Avdiivka. The Ukrainian forces had sustained 5,000 to 7,000 irreplaceable human losses in the battle, the blogger, Andrei Morozov, wrote.

These claims could not be independently verified.
Mr. Morozov wrote that he had decided to publish the Avdiivka losses to hold Russian commanders accountable for what he portrayed as a needlessly bloody campaign. He deleted his post two days later, claiming in a series of subsequent posts that he had been pressured to do so by Russian military commanders and Kremlin propagandists.

Still "minimal" losses to you? That is a whole division worth of men and armored vehicles they lost in almost 6 months to move 8-10kms from the Russian starting point and now just like after taking Bakhmut they have been stopped, and every time Russians try to go further they take heavy losses for little to no gain.

Morozov was lying through his teeth. And Ukraine's withdrawal from Avdiivka was completely chaotic. A total rout.
Sure there were Russian equipment and material losses in the attack, but nothing like what he claimed.
You also probably remember the M2 Bradleys fighting the T-90M with the drones and managing to destroy it around that area. While probably also forgetting the latter reports that the M2 Bradleys were themselves destroyed a couple of days later.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched a Massive Barrage of “Storm Shadow” and/or “SCALP-EG” Long-Range Cruise Missiles against the Russian-Occupied City of Sevastopol in Crimea tonight, with several Bases used by the Russian Military said to have Struck including the Information and Computing Center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Belbek Military Airfield, as well as the Operations Base of the 810th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade.

Hmm seems odd. I could have sworn there were claims by the Russian side that Ukraine's SU-24 fleet was pretty much destroyed. I reckon they were wrong?

Here's another video of attack
