It is pretty obvious the strikes at the Russian airbases could not have happened without US support to Ukraine. I am not saying that Ukraine could not modify those drones themselves, but they certainly do not have the capability for such long range communications or pinpointing targets inside the airbases without external support. The US is playing with fire here since they have basically struck a part of Russia's strategic deterrent. According to Russia's own nuclear posture this entitles Russia to strike back with nukes if they want to. For whatever reason some people in the US Deep State seem to want to start a nuclear conflict with this war.

The US is simply pushing because they don't see a sufficiently strong Russian response to deter them.
That's also a simple concept. Push until the opponent shows its fangs. Russia hasn't shown any of that yet. If/when it does, the US will change its course
Like Phead128 said, Ukraine can attack Russia proper all day and night with their own weapons even if they have gps for navigation like their Tu-141 drones. US is giving Ukraine real time ISR and "advising" Ukraine how and where to attack Russian forces inside Ukraine so attacking Russia proper with US made weapons needs the approval of Don America.

Ukraine seized to be a sovereign state no later than February 2014. Arguments could be made that it seized being a sovereign state a lot earlier. To be frank, there are very few nations on earth that are truly sovereign. China, Russia, India, are some of the very few that can still be considered sovereign when it comes to foreign and security policy. Most nations in Europe are de facto US vassal states.
Reportedly, Odessa City is saying the blackout could last weeks if not 2-3 months before electricity can be restored.

fire thwarted militant attacks on our positions in the direction of Sladkoye and Shevchenko . Also, two Nxxx DRGs were destroyed in the Vladimirovka area.
An American radar station AN / TPQ-36 in the Torsky DPR region . Also in the area of Seversk, two MLRS "Grad" were destroyed ."
