I am an Indian. This is pure BS. There have been reports of blackouts but ain't no way 70% of the power grid is paralyzed here, not even close.

The blackout & attacks happened at night, about 6~10 hours ago. Are you sure about the situation at that time? It's about the time when Paki military declared the strike operation against India.

At that time, maybe you're asleep. And when you woke up, much of the grid was already back online through emergency repairs. Is that possible?

Attack on the power grid is a coordinated operation with air strikes at night.

I'm kind of looking forward to witnessing another surface combat of black-sea style. :p

This time, Indian Navy is Russia's Black Sea Fleet, Paki Navy is Ukraine Navy & Coast Guard.

Under Ukrainian supersonic anti-ship missiles & countless Magura V5 USVs, almost half of Russian Black Sea Fleet is gone.

What will happen to less-protected & less-modernized Indian Navy this time? Their equipment is very much russian style. Especially with a giant live target, aka the Russia-made aircraft carrier.

Seriously, Paki needs to get some USVs like Magura V5 from China or Turkey ASAP, to deter Indian naval adventures.
Black sea being almost land locked doesn't offer significant strategic depth to Russian Navy to operate safely from distance .( On the top of that Ukrainians get top tier ISR and targeting data from NATO ) . Indian Navy can always spread out from Arab sea to Indian Ocean .

I'm not talking about the "drone strikes" on the command vehicle here, I don't believe a word of that.

But they hit military targets along the border last night, the first wave on May 7th IMO is excusable since they were hitting on civilians and is understandable that their air defense network isn't dense enough to cover every city and non-essential areas. But last night was airfields along the border that was targeted, I don't think it's excusable to say that the HQ-9s aren't deployed there to guard the airfields against enemy strikes especially with Nur Khan airbase being one of those larger airfields in the area. Yet the airfield was still damaged unless it was operator error or they somehow decided not to intercept the missile I do think we have probable cause here to think that their air defense failed to intercept the BMs.
This again presumes that Pakistan has enough HQ-9 units to protect all of these military installations, that it deems these facilities critical enough to warrant the usage of its most expensive and guarded SAM system, and that HQ-9s were actually fired in an attempt to the take down the incoming missiles.

Pakistan has less than a handful of HQ-9P batteries and likely even fewer HQ-9BE units; these are most likely delegated to the defense of the most critical parts of Pakistan's military and economy. It is unlikely that an airbase would qualify.

The real point of this is that we simply don't have enough information to make a conclusion, especially with both sides making outlandish claims, and certainly not enough to jump to the conclusion that the HQ-9s were ineffective.
