Well... I shoot very well indeed, scoring 2 misses out of 30+ shots at 300m, 100m and 50m. I had often wish to try my hand on an AK-47... but in Singapore (unless you are in the rifle club or army), it is really tough to get your hands on weapons.

Actually I have not play with pistol or revolver before... Man! I wish I am in US, so I can actually feel these weapons. Oh well... another of my to-do list before I die...

Go to US, and try out all those weapons - FN FAL, G36, AK-47, Glock, etc etc.

Oh... Oh! I get to throw a live grenade once :)

My best personal score was 36 out of 40 (pop up targets) at a range of 50m, 100m, 200m, 250m, and 300m with M-16A2 rifle. Here in Texas you can also rent some of these weapons out at the firing range with an instructor to help you.

Yep! You can pretty much rent anything you want in Houston (except a Gatling gun :p). I'm not that good of a shot, but I can normally hit the bull's eye about 7/8 out of 10 times with my AR (still targets). Never shot a pop up target before though. I've hit plenty watermelons and cans of beans...

The only problem I had with pop up targets is that if they don't change the targets (riddled with bullet holes from numbers of previous shooters) you might end up "missing" it because your round went through from another hole that's already there and that frustrates the heck out of me and it counts as a miss.

Well... as you know, Singapore is a small island country (the size of Singapore cannot even compare to a state or some cities in China and US). Anyway, we have pretty innovative way of keeping our road clearer and have less traffic congestion... and that came in the form of tax (road tax), ERP (electronic road pricing) and COE. Especially the COE (Certificate of Entitlement) which pushes up the price of vehicles up...

Underneath is an indication of our vehicle price... see if you guys would have the same expression as the hollywood stars.

. I assume this is Singapore dollar, so the Prius III costs slightly higher US$100K. I always complaint that car prices in Cambodia are very high that most people buy second-hand cars; however, with US$100K I can buy a brand-new Lexus 350. Look like Singapore government is even more crazy than Cambodian government.

Well... this only happen for these couple of years. There are other measures out from the government that actually make buying a car more difficult... such as the amount of loan you can take and the such... now buying cars seemed to be something for the rich.

The amount of a Mercedes C class car is like buying a Bentley in some countries ;)

Wow! But I bet Singapore has a very good public transportation system though and it's easier to get around.

Yep. The infrastructure is there... and I am quite proud of it. Although recently we do have lots of breakdowns and delays in our mass rapid transit (MRT) system due to lack of maintenance for as long as twenty years (but hey, this show our engineering is actually pretty sound, with so little maintenance, our trains are still going for twenty years non-stop everydays).

I am fully confident that as soon as we actually completed our maintaining and money started pouring in on getting the system back up and stable, we would have one of the best public transportation system around.

Talking about public transportation, which is non-existence in Texas... The only public transportation I've ever taken in Texas is the 5 minute shuttle bus that takes me from a remote parking lot, which still costs a fortune ($720 annually), to the Texas Medical Center (where I work) every morning.

Actually, you can try all those things in Cambodia at low cost. There isn't many shooting range but I know one place which mainly open for tourist. A magazine of AK-47 (30 rounds) cost US$30, guns are free. An RPG-7 costs $80. You can also try grenade and machine gun; however, I don't know their prices.

You can rent RPGs in Cambodia? awesome!! AKs are awesome weapons. Easy to shoot and easy to maintain. Not as accurate as the M4 or AR platform but if you're less than say 150 yrds I'll take the AK over the M4 any day of the week.

I've been thinking about getting a Sig but they are pricey. I really want to get the SIG P226 MK25.

I really wanted the special edition MK 25 sold primarily to DEVGRU operators but missed out on the deal last year. That is one good looking handgun. You can even have Sig engraved your class year on it.

... also before anyone asked no I'm not and never was part of DEVGRU.
