Taiwan is buying four MQ 9B drones, which is a navalised Reaper version known as “Sea Guardian” from America for US$760 million or US$190 million a piece! Can these make a difference to a potential conflict with China? And at what cost?

To be delivered in 2025, Taiwan is sending personnel over the Pacific for training now.

Could have bought around 500 TB2 with that amount of money, which would be much more difficult for pla to deal with.

$190m target drones for the PLA, guess if/when the shooting actually happens, up to four people in the PLA are going to be unlocking the rare most-bang-for-buck achievement.

Does Taiwan even have any eq which is more advanced than its Mainland Chinese equivalent?

Do we know how many hours ROC pilots fly? PLAAF if I remember correctly for 4th gen it was about 180-200.

The pilot that crashed a F-16V earlier this year? He managed to accumulate a bit over 100 hours in two years, 60 of them in F-16. He totaled a bit over 300 hours.
