Hehehe...LOL!

Vesicles, my friend...you simply have to catch up with the PC terminology..... Now, since the data, and what people are actually experiencing makes that one too hard to digest and believe, the new terminology is "Global Climate Change."

That way, NOT MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, these folks with their special interest groups can claim that mankind is destroying the planet no matter what and keep their funding going.

To be honest, this is the first time that I've heard of that term. Some years ago, I decided to ignore these nonsense all together. In my layman's opinion, what we are observing is simply a pattern of climate changes that naturally occurs and cycles on this planet. No amount of human intervention can change that. Our most powerful machines and weapons are nothing compared to what mother nature can do. Our nuclear weapons cannot even make a dent on the surface of Earth. Yet, a simple flood can wipe out the best that we can build in seconds... In a way, it is too arrogant to believe that we as a species can single handedly change the climate of the entire planet.

Plus, we can't even predict the temperature a week from now. that is indicative of how limited our meteorological models are. How on earth can we predict the climate pattern of the entire planet 100-1000 years from now?

I do not disagree with the need to clean our environment and prevent pollution. However, all that "global climate change" (I'll change to the latest terminology ;)) nonsense is just that, nonsense...

Amen to that my friend. I agree 100%

Ditto

Again, agreed 100%.

Agreed 100%!

I was raised on a ranch. You will not find any better conservationists than Ranchers and Farmers whose livelihood depends on the land...and who, for their family's sake know that they cannot "rape" the land because it has to give them sustenance and a living for years and years to come.

Exactly...and ignoring real science in the process. Putting out junk science. Getting anyone who dares disagree black listed and shouted down like some kind of farcical inquisition. And doing it all for political, power, and monetary purposes.

That's why they spout this nonsense.

We received some very heavy rain last evening in the Cedar Rapids area..local rain-spotters are reporting any where from 2.82 inches(7.16cm) to 4.4 inches(11.17cm) of rain last night...flash flooding did occur but everything seem to be back to normal this morning.

We are anticipating either a tropical storm or two-inches of rain in Austin tomorrow. Talk about too much of a good thing...

We had our 7th straight day over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Expecting three more.

Ten days straight in this area is not too common. Seems like about 8 years ago we had a stretch like this.

In about eight weeks it will start cooling off pretty fast for Fall around here...and I always look forward to that.
