Russian Su-57 Aircraft Thread (PAK-FA and IAF FGFA)

The biggest problem with Su-57 is it's slow production rate, i guess we can't expect Russia to crank them up in J-20 or F-35 numbers, but still merely two or even three dozen Su-57s a year for VKS would be very welcome.
Production rate since 2024 has hit around 11-12 airframes anually. Given the initial order of roughly 76 jets, with by now over half delivered, it's not as terrible as many make it out to be. What becomes interesting, will be the second order/extension of the contract and how many airframes are to be acquired then. Presumably more, in order to replace the oldest of Flankers while Su-35 and Su-34 fill in the ranks as well. Ultimately it also comes down to the expansion of the construction plant and the suppliers being able to deliver the subsystems and components at a greater rate. I suspect an increase in batch volume is desired at the very latest when the AL-51 goes live.

It's a no-brainer there will be one. Especially when Su-57, for all its misconceptions, is getting justified as we speak (it is designed to prevent exactly what is now happening with Iran).

And frankly speaking, given what's happening - the time has come prob to start talking interoperability training b/n PLAAF and VKS fighter forces seriously.

Joint exercises and patrols have increased in frequency. Mostly as a consequence of the Russo-Ukrainian War and the arms race in the western Pacific picking up pace. But yes, it's nowhere near the level it 'should' be. But that's because ultimately either of them prefers to leave the other to their own stuff and contribute covertly. I too cannot wait for Su-57 and J-20 taking part in a joint exercise though, or the Pacific Fleet going on exercise with the PLAN in the SCS. But we're not there yet, patience.

Russian flying Su-57 for Algeria or real Su-57E in Algeria? Production level is quite low to start exporting.
they delivered 2 su-57e's for algeria officially and considering the "big batch" for 2025 was reportedly composed of 14 aircrafts to the VKS, we have 16 for the year, not ideal but it's catching up, if they simply keep this pace they will fulfill the contract many doubted they would (76 by 2027)

Hi,
even if they able to deliver 30/36 it’s a not bad option for Algeria probably by 2027 they have around
24/30 pilots to fly these machines and delivering around 30/36 aircraft will give confidence for India to aim for these aircraft asap.
thank you

I would have expected an entirely new test article, but for research and validation purposes I suppose reworking T-50-4 is considered enough. I do expect it to be a bit rough around the edges because of this (queue the clueless comments that will act as if it's a production article), also because T-50-4 itself has been quite the hotrod anyway.
