The distance of Su-57D's second cockpit from the ground actually very similar to J-20S' second cockpit since both are located above the landing gear bay. So rather than Su-57D second cockpit is too high it's more that the rest of the plane is lower and flatter than J-20S.

It’s only true because J-20 has higher ground clearance (maybe) than the Su-57. Considering the fact that the latter has belly intakes if you take measurements I think it is as thick, if not thicker than the J-20 at the thickest part. The hump definitely sacrifices drag reduction to a much greater degree than the solution on J-20S, which has far worse frontal visibility.
