All sorts of intelligence field days on both sides occurring as these vessels participate in combat.

First time that the actual combat sensor readings will be acquired regarding thee vessels...just as I am sure that the Russians were getting ample info on ever since Desert Storm.

another thing I'm not getting which is related to Project 20386 (in addition to what I said about the propulsion in https://www.sinodefenceforum.com/russian-military-news-reports-data-etc.t1545/page-417#post-422082):
I've read Project 20385 was truncated because of the cost

(off top of my head (don't tell me you found something else, I don't have time to check right now): 18b Rubles; 14 for Project 21631 ("Buyan-M"))

and guess what, I've also read Project 20386 will be even more expensive: "in excess of 20"
