If you are looking at the line running fore to aft there, just to the right of what appears to be the 1st of two sensors they laid out on the deck there, I believe they are simply deck plate seam lines. You can see them on the left side too.

That is, if we are looking at the same thing.

051 DDG 164 Guiling has been transferred from South Sea Fleet to North Sea Fleet of China

164 GUILIN was transferred to Lushun (where the picture was taken) together with 163 NANCHANG to replace the decommissioned 105 JINAN and 106 XI’AN - in 2007/2008.

These pics remind me of Jeffhead's suggestion with the Type 23, perhaps eliminating all the railing and extending all the sides to increase stealth characteristics.

Best thing about these ships is they have dual hanger, which means maintaining a ASW at all times with two helos

Hope the Type 055 CG will have dual hanger

Pretty sure they have no hangar. IIRC, their hangar was sacrificed for VLS.
