Yeah... they stand out like a bunch of sore thumbs... the blue camo needs to go...
I believe you are saying the blue camo should not be used in this part of world. I think it will stay in the environment of small islands with full plantations in the middle of a blue sea.

This paper is based on English-language sources only. It uses official
US sources and some official Chinese sources, academic publications, and a
few news articles about recent relevant events. The difficulties encountered
in accessing Chinese sources (other than the official ones written in
English) and the secrecy cultivated by the Chinese government limit
understanding of China’s real strategy. Thus we acknowledge that
assumptions here may be subject to bias, due to the majority of sources
being American.
This is a low quality paper as it acknowledges.

In one of his writing Andrew Ericksson insinuate that type 54 unreliable citing one incident of HVAC failure. But that is not true Look at this
After 245-day, 14,5000nm range oversea deployment, PLAN 26th Convoy returned the homeport Zhoushan yesterday.

Neither of these incidents prove or disprove 054A reliability. The sample size is way too small to make any kind of definitive statement.

Since it first launch in 2005 type 54*54A have been in operation continuously and they just send the 27 anti piracy convoy
All this time I never heard they encountered serious failure needing tug boat to pull them to the next port
I am certain they have minor incident but that is normal with any ships
Based on the above I can categorically says the type 54 is reliable

It is correct to cite the historical operational record of all the 054As in order to judge its reliability as a class, but again, I am referring specifically to the two incidents mentioned, one being an HVAC failure and the other being the successful 245-day deployment of a single 054A. Neither of them taken by themselves mean anything.
