Is PLAN the only navy in the world that uses such ships specifically to support its aircraft carriers?
USN aircraft carriers have even larger crews but it has so many of them that adequate shore facilities can be built where they are home ported. Adm K remains home most of the time.

So far, I only see PLAN doing this way.

The difference between USN carriers and PLAN 001 and 001A is that 001 is a trainer and probably 001A too. So 001(A) will have to accommerdate more crews than their designed combat crews, probably double, when out in the sea. I think this practice is a one time thing (from not have to have).

I think, No. 88 and the new ship are kind of a school. The spare crew has time and place to study and write down, what the sailors have experienced on board. Call it a safety management system: write down what you have done and do what you have written down.

Nearly 20 years ago the USN started quartering sailors ashore in barracks when ships were inport or a shipyard for extended periods of times. The USN also has barracks barges for ships in the shipyard for an extended stay.

No. it's an old model seen at a few export shows in the past few years. Not 057.

And it's more of a corvette.
where 057 model shown before? As far as I know 057 is a new model. Ones shown before were 022 FP? for Pakistan and other African countries
