It's a slippery slope once you start dealing like that. It's essentially allowing someone to successfully hedge a strategy of blackmail against you where you give them something and they simply don't do anything. They will get used to that and learn that when dealing with you, they don't have to offer anything back; they just have to create some trouble and then not follow through to get free things from you. Only make exchanges where both sides give and take. The benign response to this type of offer is to reject it. The more aggressive reaction is to cause a larger problem for the blackmailer so that he rescinds his actions in exchange for you rescinding yours. But there are two further points.

1. China and Pakistan have a very amicable relationship so this blackmail exchange is not on the table. If there are problems, the countries can talk and work it out reasonably.

2. Pakistani ammunition is not going to make a difference to Ukraine or Russia. See all the US puppets bleeding themselves out to give to Ukraine? Pakistan's little gift is a drop in an ocean. If Pakistan has its own reasons to do this, whether it be revenge for Russia supplying India or to gain something from the West, China doesn't necessarily need to stop it.

China and Pakistan would have had a discussion about these so called weapon sales, the relationship is close enough that there is coordination in major decisions effecting either country.

Do bear in mind that Russia is a major supplier of weapon systems to India.

China should definitely not hold it against Russia for supplying India.

1) If Russia did not have India as a customer its arms industry would significantly scale down. The US would be able to shift forces from Europe to the Pacific because the Russian military would be less formidable.
2) India would instead buy from the US, France, and Israel. A strong US-India relationship is bad. US real time intelligence during a war would transform the capabilities of the crappy Indian Army.
3) India will continue to need spare parts from Russia and must maintain a good relationship with Russia politically. The second order effect of India's good relations with Russia is friction with the US and Europe.

Although it's of course bad that the PLA must face the S-400 in Eastern Ladakh, there's still too much upside to consider in Russia supplying India. In any case, the Russia-India arms relationship should have no bearing on the Pakistan-Ukraine arms relationship. The fact that Russia sells to India does not make us any less opposed to Pakistan selling to Ukraine to wage war against Russia.

Pakistan has a lot of US weapons and they had history of cooperation with Ukraine. They purchased the T-80UD from Ukraine for example. The engine for the Al-Khalid tank used to come from Ukraine. Even not that long ago they bought helicopter engines for their Mi-17 from Ukraine.

I think its ok to downplay the importance of indian s400s. The PLA literally have s400's to train against. There is unlimited time to for optimization and planning. Its unlikely the Indians will develop a superior system anytime soon

Pakistan and China are close allies, but you seem to be saying that India and Russia can do what they want regarding defence, but Pakistan can't, that will not work, and the CPC would not ask it to.

If India purchased from US, French, and Israeli suppliers and excluded Russian suppliers I do not think it would change the military balance between India and Pakistan.

If Pakistan stopped supplying Ukraine and gave China the opportunity to offer something in exchange (this is an important reciprocal part of my suggestion) then it would help Russia on the battlefield.

I'm sorry to say this but I think you're just trying to find an excuse and are the 4th Pakistani commentator to ignore concerns.

Honestly I don't think China has a problem with this, Pakistan is not directly supplying Ukraine, it is selling 155mm Artillery shells to the same countries China is selling hundreds of billions of dollars worth of goods and services.

I agree it's better that India buy its weapons from Russian than the West.

China has every chance every day to call and offer Pakistan something but China has no interest in putting itself in a position where it gives things and gets nothing back. This transaction is a bottomless pit and makes countries lose respect for you. You want me to stop sending knives to your nasty neighbor? OK give me your TV. Now I'll send axes. You want me to stop that? Give me your refrigerator. Ok now I'll give him my gun; need me to cancel that plan? That'll be one car please. In the end, I got a whole bunch of free shit from you and I didn't do anything except talk. China doesn't screw itself like that.
