Bro we Chinese love authentic food too much to degrade ourselves to fake meat.

Artificially grown meat is more plausible than fake meat in China.

China has to embrace food tech or we're fucked as demonstrated by the African Swine Fever ordeal which is still ongoing due to lack of standards/technology.

How can we do brinksmanship if we cant even feed our own people to satisfaction.

I chat with my family back at home at least every other day and the food prices just keep rising. Shitty pork is like $4-6/lb. Still gotta pressure cook the beef.

Gotta embrace technology, we embraced nukes, we gonna embrace this too.

Fake meat is nothing new. Ever eaten Buddhist temple food?

Devout Buddhists are not allowed to eat meat, because every animal is still a reincarnation of a person. So the Buddhists, like the monks, clergy, and abbots in the temple are all vegetarian. The Buddhists learned to create something that has the texture, feel and taste of meat --- not quite but close enough --- using tofu and some other ingredients with a special recipe. Sometimes when there is some kind of festival and rituals going on, the monks serve the food to the pilgrims. If you are not any of the monks, but still devout followers of the temple, they express their devotion by not eating meat at their homes, relying instead on this tofu-meat. In some ways its a precursor to the soy-burger or veggie burger.

There are some places outside of China that specializes in Buddhist veggie food.

I am amazed with what you can do with tofu-meat. I believe the same can be done with artificially grown meat.

Artificially grown meat can be more religiously acceptable to Buddhists and Moslems.

It's possible that because most Chinese have not been introduced to Western quality meat, it might be easier to get acquainted with meat alternatives.

Dat prime filet tho....

I would recommend everyone here try an Impossible burger if you can get your hands on it. It's not a veggie burger and shouldn't be compared to one - there's a lot more going on with it than a bunch of ground-up beans and carrots. I'd go so far as to call it the first genuine meat substitute. Like I said, the only thing that gave away that it wasn't cow was that it didn't have bits of collagen strewn through it. If you didn't know what it was you'd swear it was beef.

There are tons of Western quality meat in China, especially from the US and Australia. The latter may diminish however.

It also appears to me that a lot of Chinese appear increasingly flabby and overweight. It would help to be increasingly diet and health conscious.

Pretty sure that sweet beverages (soda, milk tea, et al) affect the most.

I'm going to take this sentence here as my writing prompt to vent. There's quite a few characters on this site that take the laughable view that China is underpopulated and should increase its population by another billion or some such nonsense, because apparently the US is going to add a billion people - I guess they're going to build a Stargate to another dimension to get those people, because that's about the only conceivable way they could accomplish that. Anybody who sees the insanity of this is an Enemy of the People and a useful idiot for the - and this isn't my term - "globohomo" agenda.
On the contrary, i don't take the view that China itself is underpopulated, but i hold firm the belief that China must remain the biggest, baddest motherfucker on the planet- and that includes more Chinese troops, scientists, etc to elbow out the whining anglos or fantasist indians. If the US wants to add another billion low IQ, malnourished 3rd worlders into their country, they can enjoy the inevitable Braziliafication of the anglosphere. Globohomo wants a china which is controllable and "Japanised", tame and consumerist.

As it is, more Chinese could actually mean a higher probability of StarGates being invented, given the overwhelming proportion of Chinese researchers in the material sciences, and Chinese scientists being able to teleport photons already. More Chinese means a higher probability of fusion being successfully implemented, of interplanetary colonies.

On a base level, i simply want more Chinese to staff expeditionary forces to take the continents of australia and north america for the Chinese civilisation in perpetuity.

Huawei becomes the first 5G and LTE vendor to pass security test for both GSMA and 3GPP security network tests.

The test was performed by DEKRA, the first security test lab in Europe for Security Assurance Specifications (SCAS) testing.

"Huawei’s 5G RAN gNodeB and LTE eNodeB has passed 3GPP’s Security Assurance Specifications (SCAS) testing."
"According to the report, all the tests mentioned above are 100% passed"

100%. No one even claimed China was underpopulated. I'd love to see him link the comment which said so. He is just setting up a ridiculously dumb strawman then taking it down for free brownie points.

I 1000% agree with everything you said, though I think taking over America is kind-of unrealistic and we shouldn't be obsessing about silly imperialist colonization schemes imo anyway. After all, if America is colonized by China, what do you do with all the Americans? I'm all for competition and becoming the supreme nation, people, etc. on the planet, in the solar system, in the fucking galaxy, but I'm not for killing grandmas and children, even if they are soulless Americans who supported the same in Iraq and Afghanistan.
