Yes, the three gorges dam company bought EDA, my country´s national energy company, when my country was recovering from bankrupcy. But to call my country insignificant? at least my country isnt a dictatorship which does and has done horrible things in the past. But thats offtopic. There are things not permited in this forum.

The way it see it, is that firms using US tech need a license to sell to SMIC. If the company makes into the entity list, these firms will need a special permission. I dont know the difference betwen those two requirements. Does anyone here knows?

2. Not only is China bigger, look at the math Olympiad; where do you find a Portuguese in the rankings? Look how many Chinese people from countries all around the world compete and get top rankings. These are individual people. China has more quantity, better quality.

That is what the deep state in the United States wants people to believe.

It is all about Huawei and 5G. They are losing badly, and this is full desperation mode.

I doubt the objective to stop SMIC is about semiconductors. It is more about Huawei and 5G, the United States acting like a baby when they lose.

If Huawei cannot get their chips, then other countries will not use Huawei for 5G, that would be their thought process.

They really only need 14nm for every single piece of equipment for those base stations and antenna. That SMIC already produces.

Then there is the stockpile Huawei has.

It would be good that should the USA collapses, the first thing the world does is charge the USA with crimes against humanity and then put the entire CIA on a terrorism blacklist so that world can finally hunt them down
