The material schematic diagram of MS-21 released by the Russian side. Pay attention to SYT-55 in the picture.

View attachment 162190
SYT-55 was developed and manufactured by Zhongfu Shenying.
okay this is very interesting stuff.

I do know that Russians import some CF from China, but didn't know they did it for MS-21. Far and away largest CF importer from China is actually Vietnam.

Also C919 project uses SYT59G-12K, which is an improved version of T800, whereas SYT55 is the original T800 product. So looks like C919 uses more advanced CF than MS21,

Chinese share of pharmaceuticals under development globally has risen to 20%.

China-based companies are responsible for 20% of drugs in development globally, reflecting the powerhouse role the country has embraced in the pharmaceutical industry.

In a recent report by GlobalData, analysis demonstrates how regulatory and policy reforms in China have rapidly advanced its drug development landscape. The country accounts for nearly double the percentage of drugs being developed in the 5EU (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK), responsible for 11%. The US still leads the way, however, holding a 40% share.

here is the really big hammer for Rare Earth export restrictions

(一)含有、集成或者混有原产于中国的本公告附件1第一部分所列物项在境外制造的本公告附件1第二部分所列物项,且附件1第一部分所列物项占境外制造的附件1第二部分所列物项的价值比例达到0.1%及以上的;

(二)使用原产于中国的稀土开采、冶炼分离、金属冶炼、磁材制造、稀土二次资源回收利用相关技术在境外生产的本公告附件1所列物项;

(一)设计、开发、生产、使用大规模杀伤性武器及其运载工具;

(二)恐怖主义目的;

This is really pretty serious stuff if I understand this correctly.

Anything dual use w/ even 0.1% value in RE will require license.
Applies to anything use Chinese tech for mining, smelting, separation, mfg & recycling.

So does any non-Chinese refineries or mining or separation sites not use any Chinese tech?

This is what US did wrt semiconductor to China except it is reversed and applied to everyone.

no military end user will get approved basically.

no usage of Chinese rare earth for advanced chips and military AI when it comes to not just the material but also the production equipment and metrology equipment used.

Paper on the first ever pig-to-human liver xenotransplantation, which was grafted onto the patient's damaged liver following cancer treatment.

• First successful auxiliary porcine liver xenotransplantation from a 10-gene edited pig to a living recipient, distinct from prior brain-dead recipient cases.
• Porcine albumin and coagulation factors were bioactive, sustaining hepatic metabolic function without allergic reactions or other adverse effects.
• Early postoperative course showed no hyperacute or acute rejection, supporting the effectiveness of donor gene editing and immunosuppression.
• Xenotransplantation-associated thrombotic microangiopathy (xTMA) was successfully controlled by graft removal, followed by eculizumab and plasma exchange.
• Establishes auxiliary liver xenotransplantation as a life-saving bridge for unresectable liver cancer or liver failure, and provides a clinical paradigm for future liver xenotransplantation trials.

I'm not even sure this is the full list, but they added a lot of export controls last night as well as significantly expanded the entity list to include TechInsights (I guess as revenge for looking into Huawei) and BAE system (this is a major one)

(BAE Systems, Inc.)
  9. Teledyne FLIR45 (Teledyne FLIR, LLC)
  10. VSE公司 (VSE Corporation)
(Cubic Global Defense)
  12. Recorded Future<=] (Recorded Future, Inc.)
(Halifax International Security Forum)

  • TechInsights Inc.
  • TechInsights Europe Limited
  • TechInsights Europe Sp zo.o

  • TechInsights USA Inc
  • TechInsights Korea Co. Ltd.
  • TechInsights Market Analysis Limited
  • SARL Strategy Analytics
  • Strategy Analytics GmbH Market Research and Management Consulting
  • SARI Strategy Analytics Private Limited
lol, look at TechInsights in there. But aside from it, Elbit, Teledyne, BAE and ATK are all pretty decent sized. And some of the other ones are countering drones specially. I'm not sure why they are going after anti-drone specifically when they can just go after defense contractors

I'm not really a fan of copying the U.S. by using export controls on technologically advanced items. The U.S. export controls strategy was a catastrophe that backfired, and China does not need to repeat the same mistakes. Export controls on raw minerals like rare earths are fine.

It's not the act of export controls itself that was the mistake. It was a miscalculation of the conditions surrounding that decision that led to it. It seems you fundamentally do not understand why Chinese export controls on materials and technologies related to the refining of RE, manufacturing of RE magnets, and manufacturing of batteries+battery materials is very different from US+West+vassal export controls on chips and chip manufacturing technology.
