As you can see, the Hisense actually scores higher than Samsung's top of the line TV. To see Chinese TV companies surpass the quality of Japanese and Korean titans is really a heartwarming feeling!

Don't know if there are any home theater fans here but did you guys know China has 3 of the top 5 TV manufacturers in the world? Just bought a 75U8N from Costco. Costs 2300 CAD before tax. Let me tell you something, this things gives you the same quality as a 6000 CAD TV from Samsung. LOLOLOL. As I live in North America Chinese cars are not sold here. There is limited opportunities to experience China's tech evolutions and advancements. Well now I have, man this is absolutely astounding. Proud to be CHINESE!!!
The pretty much identical China model is even cheaper at 1500CAD for the 75 in one. The 85in one is 2128CAD. The TV sector has effectively been cabbagized by the many Chinese TV display manufacturers

Haha, I only paid attention to Chinese TV brands in the last 2 years when I was looking to buy a new TV. I wonder when did Chinese brands start to rival the performance of established brands like Samsung and LG? I'm guessing only in the last 5 years or so. Chinese tech is moving sooo fast lol. What's even more incredible is the price. You can get mindblowing performance for only half the price of Japanese and Korean brands. Wonder if the Chinese government subsidizes TV makers like they do for EV makers.

It is reported that human skin has many tactile receptor cells that are densely arranged and distributed in three dimensions, which can accurately sense external stimuli. At present, no electronic skin has achieved the synchronous decoupled perception of multiple mechanical signals such as pressure, shear force, and strain at the physical level..

Inspired by the spatial distribution of mechanical receptors in human skin, Professor Zhang Yihui's research group proposed a new electronic skin design concept with a three-dimensional architecture. The three-dimensional distribution of force and strain sensors in its structure imitates the spatial distribution of Merkel cells and Ruffini corpuscles in human skin, enabling the device to measure pressure, shear force (reported as "friction") and strain in a decoupled manner at the physical level .

The bionic three-dimensional electronic skin is composed of the "epidermis", "dermis" and "subcutaneous tissue", and the texture of each part is similar to the corresponding layer in human skin. The sensors and circuits are mainly located in the "dermis" layer, and the force sensing unit is designed as an eight-arm cage structure. The sensor is located in the upper part of the cage structure, close to the surface of the electronic skin, and is highly sensitive to external forces.

Based on this electronic skin with a three-dimensional structure and combined with deep machine learning algorithms, the research team has developed an advanced tactile system that can simultaneously measure the modulus and local principal curvature of an object simply by touch.

The relevant research results of this project were published in Science on May 30 this year under the title "A Three-Dimensionally Architected Electronic Skin Mimicking Human Mechanosensation".

Potential treatment for asthma with a single dose of IV infusion:
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy has been shown to be hugely advantageous in the treatment of cancers. This therapy employs genetically modified T-cells to find and destroy cancers.

Now, Min Peng, PhD, and his team at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, have used CAR T technology to successfully treat not cancer, but chronic asthma using a mouse model.
