The turret roof is a lot thicker than it seems after closer inspection.

In terms of turret geometry VT4 is a bit better, but overall I think you're way overestimating the VT4's capabilities.

That's what 99A's turret protection module really looks like. Within the white box of picture 2 is the piece of turret protection module. The top goes down to a thickness of zero instead of having any left. The photo is processed due to secret keeping reasons, hope u guys can understand. ;)

Do you have any pictures showing where the roof of the crew compartment begins relative to the edge of the turret armor module?

Better hope that its ERA does its job exceptionally then lol
FY4 is no piece of cake at that angle;) plus rounds rarely get that lucky and hit such an area, they'll hit the thicker turret bottom and the upper glacis more often. And a hit may likely be a ricochet. What I'm trying to say is that the protection shapes of the 99A is worse than that of VT4, but it's enough for actual use.
