While the community generally likes the power/torque of EV's and the ability of EV/Hybrids to do vehicle to load charging of camp equipment, right now the heavier weight puts them at a disadvantage which it comes to muddy, sandy, or even gravel terrains. This can be offset with tire selection and some other things but it's still a challenge.

Have you actually tested Bao-8 or Bao-5 in these environments? We have really not heard about getting through muddy environment as problems. And I've listened to a lot of this stuff

Not yet, but hope to next time I'm back in China, have a couple of friends who got Bao-5's.

this is not true. There will not be a BEV version of N9. There will only be PHEV version. The Chinese reporting of this is wrong.

U8 was the official reception car for the Zhuhai air show


U7 doing something amazing here. 0 to 100km/h 77 times, all under 3s without seeing any degradation from battery losing power or anything like that. Top time was 2.75s

I think there are still many people who are sceptical about EVs and in favour of the continued status quo of ICE cars. I think its normal, since humans are usually averse to change. However, as more and more EVs keep gaining traction around the world, there will come a point that even the most vocal sceptics of EVs will come to accept reality and move on from the past. Once someone is used to something then their brain learns to accept and live with the new reality to qn extent that it becomes their new normal . EVs are here to stay, and in a decade or two they will be like ICE cars today i.e the dominant ones on roads around the world, maybe with exception of Subsahran Africa and other poorest countries in the world, who will need more time to make this transition given their poor infrastructure. But even so, they will all eventually get there.
Chinese auto companies(led by BYD) where smart to foresee this and start investing heavily on EV technologies before everyone(except Tesla) now they have a head start on most auto companies. So they will benefit from this transition as well instead of lagging behind like in the past with ICE cars. This will be another lesson for others. THE ONLY THING THAT IS CONSTANT IN LIFE IS CHANGE.
