So the joint venture is more than just a USD30,000 car.

Can someone explain if CATL's battery is as safe as BYD's Blade? I remember someone wrote that BYD borrowed CATL's idea, or was it vice versa?

Cant confirm the overall ownership structure but Warren Buffets Berkshire owns 25% of the company. Rest assured BYD will never be sanctioned by the West .

BYD's parent is traded in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The company says 60% of its stock is owned by U.S. investors. Warren Buffett claimed an 8.2% stake in his last annual letter.
Time for MSS to work its magic here. Its unacceptable to have the enemy hold the majority of the stock of your leading hi-tech company

Lol, only the USA 60%. There are other foreigners in the world, so BYD might even be 80% foreign owned? Lol

NIO and Xpeng are probably similar because they are listed overseas.

Indeed. Make no mistake, this is unacceptable. China should never accept enemy ownership or enemies drawing so many profits from China's leading companies

This money should better stay domestically and instead let domestic investors become wealthy which would fuel even more investing in domestic companies

This is why I said MSS should get involved I'm this. I am not saying banning or throwing out American/enemy investors, but surely something could be done so that the company is actually Chinese and not an American/enemy shell company masquerading as Chinese

See the example with ARM China which "rebelled" against its parent Western company lol
