it's obviously sustainable because most of the Chinese automakers are profitable. Why do you care so much about their profitability?

At some point, the less competitive automakers need to get absorbed.

There are some people on social media claiming that there is a bubble in Chinses EV making sector. Is nio (they have the most stylish designs) even profitable yet?

There are many automakers in China. If NIO isn't profitable, then it will just not survive long term. Others will survive and thrive.

The idea that there are 200 car companies in China is just some misinformation created by some detractors. They used to claim that there were 200 smartphone makers in China, which was just a ridiculous claim. Making cars is even more complicated than making smartphones.
I see. How many car companies are there in China?

Its a genuine question, since getting prices too low can affect even the genuinely strong competitive companies and their margins. There should be a limit to all this, else it will threaten the viability of the industry. From what I red, Some auto industry players in China already complained aboutthis issue. Now it seems even the Chinese government is worried about this and is calling such practices to stop.

At some point there needs to be a limit. Else it will jeopardise the whole industry. Good thing the government seems to be taking it seriously

Nio is no longer "most stylish" now. The Nio es6 came out in 2018 and it was perhaps the most stylish design for a while, but their design has barely changed much since then.
In terms of financials, NIO's CEO claims that they are aiming to be profitable in the fourth quarter of 2025, but this remains to be seen.

those automakers need to die if they cannot compete. There is no jeopardizing at all. What are you even talking about? Can you show what % of Chinese automakers are not profitable?
