Land on the dark side of the moon first (like China did) than we can talk about "push the frontier of technological development".

No need to belittle SpaceX achievements in this manner.

I could easily respond with something like, "land a man on the moon using 1960's technology", but I hope you'd see the folly of comparing nation space achievements between the United States and China before we got that far...

No the folly is you failed to see the previous comment made by Voyager 1..."Incredible job from SpaceX, hopefully China can someday have its own Elon Musk to push the frontier of technological development", assuming that China needs an Elon Musk like character in order to achieve their space goals. My comment is to convey and show an example why they don't. Elon Musk has yet even land a rover on a the moon or even on the far side for that matter. So therefore it's those China naysayers and haters (not saying it's you) are the one's hyper ventilating anything about China these days. Especially in the field of high tech and space.

My apologies Equation! You are correct! I missed the comment made by Voyager 1.

Nauka may be getting closer to launch. This is the last Russian ISS module. It's been in a 'development hell' state for a long time.
