You have your causation backwards, but I get the gist of your message. Nonetheless, culture is extremely important to people everywhere, and it's reasonable for them to hang on to it. You don't agree, and that's fine, but at least try and understand millions of Southerners feel strongly about their own culture and they want to keep and celebrate it like other groups of people everywhere. The Confederate are traitors to the Union, therefore they lost the war...period. No existence to that former government and symbols should NOT have existed.

Stupid culture that celebrates human slavery isn't worth holding onto. It's only popular films like "Gone With the Wind" and such that glamorizes the Confederate South culture while ignoring the African Americans indignity and they use that God excuse religious institution to justify for it.You have your causation backwards, but I get the gist of your message.
