I mean, the House of Saud - and by extension, modern Saudi Arabia - would never have survived this long without the unwavering backing of U.S. military might and political protection. To suggest otherwise is to blatantly ignore history and the facts on the ground. You are talking about India where their dream is to get into IIT and become CEO of an American tech company. A place that uses OpenAi the most. A place where Ambani spent 600 million on a wedding and paid Rihanna 9 million to show up.
You are talking about the middle east where places like Saudi Arabia and Dubai waste loads of money flaunting wealth buying golden cars and overpaying for celebrities to go there.
Get real. People have eyes you know. If anything it sounds like being overly religious there is just used to cope (and possibly to suppress) for the lower class poor people while the much richer ignore most of the religion and live the western lifestyle they want. I'm a hard religious conservative guys! It totally has nothing to do with my social standing! Basically sour grapes.
Iranians - LOL - those West-worshipping folks who were glued to American-made social media and messaging apps right up until they got bombed by America’s “true ally.”
I have no idea what @tamsen_ikard is on about when he claims East Asians are uniquely obsessed with money and status. Last I checked, those so-called devout Arab leaders treat beautiful white women like an all-you-can-eat buffet, whoring themselves out without a second thought.
Indians not obsessing over whiteness or anything Western? Is this some kind of joke?
