The United States has suspended a technology deal it struck with Britain earlier this year, which was intended to boost ties in artificial intelligence, quantum computing and civil nuclear energy, the Financial Times reported on Monday.
British officials on Monday confirmed the U.S. suspended the deal last week, the FT said, adding that U.S. President Donald Trump's administration was pushing for Britain's concessions in areas of trade outside the tech partnership.

How come it costs so much, as India is known as a low cost manufacturing power?
Grift. The labor is low cost but the top management, stakeholders, and owners get massive profits. I was recently advised that outsourcing from US to India actually only reduces annual cost by 66%. I was shocked as I originally expected it to be more along the lines of 90%.

Despite India being a low income country, things aren't actually as cheap as you expect. This becomes more apparent in urban areas. Even more so when foreign stuff is involved.

Life is quite expensive if you want to live rather than survive.

Don't listen too much to the Western and Indian media. Manufacturing in India have always been uncompetitive compared to Bangladesh, South East Asia, and East Asia. There is no manufacturing power in India, only talking power.

That ugly Messi statue should probably cost a fraction of the final price. That statue doesn't look like it could even last 5 years. So the budget is definitely bloated for good reasons. Why build a statue dedicated to a footballer who has nothing to do with Kolkata in the first place? I think we know the answer to that.

Even a foreign vlogger wondered why it took 40 days to build a crap Messi statue while it took decades to build the metro.

Showing off things that never existed isn't pride or confidence; it's a sign of deep-seated inferiority.
India has even adopted English as an official language, and yet you're here proclaiming that Indians don't use English names? I seriously doubt whether you even possess the concept of logical thinking.
Based on your statements these past few days, I have strong reason to suspect that you are a propagandist for India, or that you are essentially Indian.
Let me make one thing clear: I am not saying that whatever superiority complex India and the Middle East have about their so-called greatness is good. I think it is bad for them. I believe this sense of superiority, despite clear inferiority in terms of lack of education, lack of technology, and lack of proper modernization, is what causes many of the problems that India and the Middle East face.

Both of these places are terrible for their people. They suffer from too much religiosity and too much traditionalism, which hold them back from becoming wealthier and more technologically advanced. Combined with their so-called superiority complex, they try to boast about their non-existent might. That is why you see India making up fake claims about its so-called super-advanced military.

East Asia, on the other hand, has benefited a lot from its inferiority complex and its adoption of Western technology and customs. This is what makes them focused on achieving wealth and technological prowess. East Asia is the only region that has successfully become developed and matched the West in manufacturing and technological capability.

However, this has also produced a self-hating tendency and extreme worship of the West. That is why you see Hong Kongers, Taiwanese, and many mainland Chinese hating their own Chineseness and worshipping the West. That is also why you see so-called Chinese liberals becoming such traitors that they want the West to colonize China for a couple of centuries to “civilize” it. These kinds of “rebels” are very common on the internet.

There is also a notion that East Asian women look down on East Asian men and would rather date Westerners. So while East Asia has benefited from its current worldview, it has also had many negative effects.

Ultimately, we need to return to where the debate started, which is that someone claimed Indians and Middle Easterners are just like East Asians, and that Indian and Middle Eastern women would also be obsessed with dating Western men. But that is not the case, because of the very different worldviews and cultures between these regions.

Now, you can argue that the East Asian way is better, but it also has the problems I mentioned earlier.
