Wang Yi not going to the UN. VP Han Zheng attending instead -

One of Han's notable feats -
As the former chair of the Central Leading Group on Hong Kong and Macau Affairs, Han handled Hong Kong’s social unrest in 2019 by implementing the national security law and the “patriots administering Hong Kong” principle, as well as reforming the city’s electoral system.

As for Wang, he's actually meeting Lavrov in Moscow at the same time.

The US wants to remain top dog in the military, economic, and technological domains while China wants a system where the US is not top dog. I don't see how this fundamental conflict of interests can be resolved without a clash of some kind and it seems the Politbureau finally sees it the same way.

The US really has it hands full with immigrants trying to get in. Looks like the entire color spectrum including asian, south american, africans and whites. My crazy theory is that part of the polticians/capitalist wants it as it pushs down labor cost, forces rent/mortgage up, increases consumption, increases gdp, keeps the locals more "motivated" etc

Lol America continuing the psyop fake news about "Chinese migrants", when even their undereducated and brainwashed domestic audience isn't buying such an outrageous claim.

Last time they stole photos of some Chinese backpackers in South America/SEA. What's next, some hired SKorean or Vietnamese actors in staged shots?

This comment always get repeated but I don't see why it is not plausible. Labor cost is now inflated in the US and its easy to get paid 15-20 hr in californa /ny ... thats 35k a year vs 3$ a hour at the fox-con factory. Either way, your kinda enslave by your job. After 5 years, go back to China and buy yourself a condo in a was of Yuan and start a buisness. It's a very Chinese thing to do for some parts of China...migrating for work. Its not a matter of nationalism but a matter of getting a head in life if you are not in the middle/upper class. Staying in US forever may be a poor life choice at this point though

The only question is why did it take the Politbureau so long to finally realize the gravity of the situation. Even then, the return shots are not severe enough. Why only restrict gallium and germanium when neodymium, samarium, and tungsten are elements that the PRC have near monopoly over and would likely be more impactful? That's like playing the 10 and Jack of a royal flush.
