Twitter people mention that the normal crew was Indian and the special local port pilot was Ukrainian
And the reason it crashed because the boat lost power due to bad maintenance. It's not even the first time with this boat either.

Can't make this stuff up. No wonder they want to blame Russia and China on this. It's rather inconvenient to say it was caused by an Ukrainian and his Indian crew now isn't it?

This seem to be a general trend now, Cutting corners wherever you can and hiring the cheapest staff then blaming diversity when things inevitably go down while CEO gets his fifth yacht and multimillion paycheck, Golden parachute frat boy management culture is toxic and glad Xi pulled the plug when Jack Ma tried to bring that to China, The economy would have been another Boeing in the making

(Argentinian President Javier Milei) steps up ‘shock therapy’ reforms

Argentinian President Javier Milei has unveiled a plan to slash 70,000 jobs from the state sector and terminate over 200,000 social welfare programs as part of reforms aimed at stabilizing the country’s ailing economy.

Milei announced the proposed measures on Tuesday during an hour-long speech at the IEFA Latam Forum in Buenos Aires. In a detailed speech, the president laid out the foundations of his economic plan, emphasizing the alignment of peso futures contracts with the central bank’s 2% monthly crawling peg scheme, and labeling calls to sharply devalue the currency again as “ridiculous.”

“There’s a lot of blender,”
Milei stated, referring to the dwindling of wages and pensions by 276% annual inflation. “There’s a lot more chainsaw,” he warned.

Throughout his presidential campaign, Milei regularly brandished a chainsaw, a dramatic illustration of his promises to slash social spending, cut retirement and pension funds, shut down the country’s central bank, and reduce the number of government ministries by more than half. He has proposed reducing the functions of state to a minimum and has placed his trust in the market alone, hoping to solve Argentina’s problems by boosting trade and exports.

According to local media reports, the Argentinian president has to reach a fiscal balance this year and plans to do so at any cost.

Milei also said he will double down on attempts to reform the economy after the 2025 congressional elections, with more than 3,000 reforms in the pipeline. He envisions a V-shaped recovery, buoyed by increased public confidence in the country’s future.

“People have hope, they’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” Milei insisted, referring to public polls.

The announcement of more austerity reforms has sparked a fierce backlash from the country’s labor unions, one of which went on strike on Tuesday. The leader of the state workers union ATE immediately announced national action on X (formerly Twitter) without providing further details.

A self-described anarcho-capitalist, Milei, who took office in December 2023, has warned it will take time for the results of his program to be seen and that things could get worse before they get better. Latin America’s third-biggest economy has been beset by a severe economic crisis after decades of financial mismanagement.

Pakistan's leadership is hopeless, but China cannot allow CPEC to fail because of that. CPEC is the showcase project of the BRI and is also one of the alternative energy routes from the Gulf States to China that bypasses the Malacca Strait. It is too important to be abandoned to India and the US. Both of whom have no good intentions for China.
CPEC needs to happen all the way through.

Besides, Pakistan is still an important ally with nukes against India. It is also an important diplomatic link for China to the rest of the Muslim world. Pakistan is far from being as irrelevant as Argentina is.
I think neither is irrelevant. But of course Pakistan is a neighbor so it is more important.

My suggestion is for China to double down on CPEC. Beef up security, beef up counter intelligence activities, and start getting serious with the terrorize threat. Because what is being done right now is clearly not enough.
The SCO was supposed to act as an insurance policy against things like this. Pakistan needs to beef up its security apparatus. China could provide them with the technology to do this.

The Baloch terrorist cell areas overlaps into Iranian and Afghan territory. Without coordination with them, it is gonna be impossible to check terrorist movements across their borders. All three cannot see eye to eye with each other on this matter. So China has to take the leadership and co-ordinate counter terror and counter espionage activities with all three of them. Off course, this is much easier said that done. So this might have to start between China and each individual country.
It's a mess really. And Balochistan isn't the only such place. You have Waziristan, and you have Punjab.

Some experts believe that such a rare meeting between the top Chinese leader and the US representatives not only signals China's expectation that bilateral relations will continue to improve since the San Francisco meeting between the Chinese and US top leaders in November 2023, but also shows that China is focusing more on engaging with American people as it welcomes US investment to achieve greater intertwining interests between the industries of the two sides. It is to "make the cake bigger," experts said.
The history of China-US relations is a history of friendly exchanges between the peoples of the two countries, written by the people in the past and even more to be created by the people in the future, Xi told the US representatives.

It is hoped that people from all walks of life in both countries will increase their interactions and exchanges, continuously building consensus, Xi said.

As I have always maintained, China should name it Chinese gooseberry for the fruit sold in China and exported from China.
Nah man, we will profit from their racism, just like we do with all the MAGA merch.

Peru is soon going to steal $1.3 billion and a port from China

Obviously the Americans are involved otherwise how would Peru alone find the courage to even contemplate to steal from China

They even want to humiliate Xi on live television lol

Ok, demolish the port and give back the money invested, plus interest (protect against inflation) plus damages for incurring opportunity costs
The moment China decided to be a foriegn investment power is the moment non-interference policy is obsolete. History taught us enough. Western business learned the same way back.

By supplying Brahmos to the PH, as well as supporting Bong Bong Marcos and the Amboys against China, India had inserted itself into China's SCS disputes. A couple of unreliable Brahmos missiles is nothing China that could not handle, but the threat and intent is there.

What Modi and Jaishankar severely underestimates is that China can do so much more in South Asia to hit back. Pakistan is a far more dangerous foe to India than the PH could ever be to China. Other smaller nations around India are slowly opening to cooperating with China in defense. Unlike China, practically all of India's neighbours have territorial disputes with it. They are either current or potential customers for Chinese weapons. Apart from that, Myanmar's loss of its Northern territories actually makes fertile ground to train and arm insurgents for India's Northeastern states. Even better that there are plenty of modern Russian and NATO weaponry on the black market today to arm them with. These idiots are lucky that China is no longer into the dark arts of supporting insurgencies in other countries. But if they keep pushing, they might eventually compel China to reopen its book of the dark arts.

Modi will win the current election in India, and because of that, the chances of another Indian war with China is getting more likely. Should that day come, China should unleash hell on India on multiple fronts. First, a good old fashioned spanking by the PLA at Aksai Chin and South Tibet. Second, support a Pakistani invasion to liberate Indian-Occupied Kashmir. Third, create and support multiple uprisings in North Eastern India. They would help to weaken India's grip on South Tibet and Bhutan. When the PLA have secured South Tibet, they can help to liberate Sikkim too. Fourth, fight the Indian Navy in and around the Indian Ocean to break their blockade of the Malacca Strait. Aim to sink the Indian Navy for good. Don't forget to prepare ABM systems near the Indian border and in the Indian Ocean, just in case India might launch its Agni's and other nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles.
I firmly believe India is the next on chopping block after driving out US. This is a fascist regime armed with nuclear weapon next door so it must be dismantled one way or the other. That said, unlike US this don't have to end in a world war. India has enough internal unrest to leverage. A mixture of proxy war, supporting internal unrest, and minor skirmish at the border is enough to crack them.

Yeap. He is telling the truth. Xi Jinping has no time for BS. Unlike those clowns you call politicians in your home countries. Its so refreshing, isn't it?

Al-Jazeera. Hmph, this sell-out. Apart from the Gaza news, everything else is trash. I still remember them selling out during the Arab Spring.

Nothing to do with Xi Jinping. Blame these American companies' boardrooms for not fulling their gender quotas.
