I have a theory
1) US CIA funding goes most towards the most rabid and vocal hanjian; it would be like China giving state funding to the Black Panthers of NFAC or militant BLMs.
2) Millenia of Chinese civilisation have bred Chinese people to be more loyal to their parents so if their parents become brainwashed into cults like FLG or evangelical christianity which hates China, these kids will also grow up to similarly hate China.
Picture this, you're a chinese student coming to australia or america for the first time, you're an only child so you feel lonely when you first get there but there are christian groups comprised of Bob Fu type chinese christians who welcome you, invite you over for parties and make you feel like you have friends. And then they start having talks and sermons about the evils of the Chinese communist party. It doesn't take long for such chinese students to become radicalised. All the more so when you have american media acting as supplementary forces for that type of propaganda.
