US 17.75% vs Europe 15.59%, if this is what you mean by "ahead".

All this kind of statistics must be read very carefully and may not reflect the truth because there may be different "truths". One thing is "IP being more applicable to a specific region or country" such as mmWave which is a US thing with little adoption outside US. US companies have very high portion of their IPs in this area does not make them leaders in 5G global. Just look at the 3G and 4G, US eventually abandoned their 4G standard adopting European 4G. Same happened to Japan's 2G attempt. Those American and Japanese IPs never had any impact outside home.

The IP must be measured against their adoption ratio in the world market. Now if you break down this 17.75% into world IP and US-exclusive IP, the ranking may turn around.

I guess you can use explosive attached to ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle). However, quite a bit of explosive has to be used because the pipeline is rather sturdy.

UK does not have economy of Russia. Russia generated $300b to $500b trade surplus that is reinvested in high end R&D that it does not need to sell. which whole EU cannot manage. Mortgage debt is only 10% of GDP.
UK is completely buried in debt.

EU is not sacrificed it is better managed to serve US interests. EU goes down. most of its R&D potential will move towards US.
who is more depended on Airbus? US or China.
but even bigger favor that US has done is make Europe more depended on Middleast. whether its Aviation/ Suez canal/ Africa or just energy. historically Middleast is biggest buyer after Pentagon. and with new found wealth there lobbying power will exponentially increase.
do you think Japan can talk too much about renewables when 97% of its crude imports are from Arabic countries now.

The sheer hypocrisy of US claiming that China puts backdoors on its products. If this is not a warning for any future buyers of US technology for mission-critical uses, I don't know what is. Nord Stream may not be destroyed by Mk 48s afterall.

If Germany had a Abe-esque Prime Minister, there would be immense outrage, for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, western media shows their hypocrisy by glorifying Abe like he was a saint. As long as you're a US asset/buffer state against their enemies, they'll let anything slide.
