Do it! This would finally finish any US Western-phile leaning people In the CPC. There are still some annoying bugs in the CPC and in the business world who are like "If only we could be friends with the US", now this will be transformed to the entire West.

Do it! This Western slap on China's "face" would be a shock to the many unaware Chinese about the West.

Lets see if they got the guts to antagonise China so much that it decided to throw caution to the wind and supercharges its R&D efforts on a true "whole-of-society" approach

Bet you a $100 that the West wont do anything. If they got any brains, they will realise that after such a public "humiliation" the Chinese would have their own "Sputnik" moment and collectively decide that its time to fight on an unprecedented campaign against the West
You know, ironically it is China who will be able to execute a "whole of society" strategy due to its much better social cohesion than america ever will

There is a reason after all why Xi (and the CPC ofc) loves so much the "whole of society" strategy.

If implemented correctly, it will be like a tsunami passing though the whole China leaving no stone unturned. The normal people, the employees, employers, businesses, universities, organisations, shareholders would start pressuring each other to rally around the flag.

The most important ofc would be the public. These are the people who would steamroll any resistance from businesses, employers and shareholders

One country, one fist ready to strike at whoever is needed

The story of a "diplomatic boycott" of the Winter Olympics in China next year is a nothing-burger.

It will be a "diplomatic boycott."

What seems interesting to me, is the constant barrage of attacks, small and medium, all against China by the Ministry of Truth, aka the stupid Liberal media.

This "diplomatic boycott" is a small attack. But these attacks have been a constant.

It is straight out of George Orwell 1984, where Oceania was always at war with Eastasia.

The idea in 1984 was to keep total control of the population, to make them think and feel a certain way. America nowadays the Ministry of Truth basically is the New York Times and Hollywood. Think of it as the secretary and assistant-secretary.

This the part where I do not understand or conciliate. After they got Winston to capitulate with their advanced persuasion methods, the novel ended.

But real life goes on.

According to some poster here, this is very representative of the society of the western world.

Ex-Politician and Catholic Priest Sentenced to 19 Years for Child Exploitation

June 5, 2021

CABRAMATTA, Australia—It took Judge James Bennett more than one full workday to deliver the sentence as he methodically recounted the absolutely disgusting and grotesque details of the former ex-Sydney Labor Party figure, former lawyer, and Catholic priest’s four years of abuse.

According to

, Judge Bennett actually read out the perverted exchanges Hansen had on an encrypted service with a man named “Mailboy Hornbag.” During this exchange, Hansen rated their images and complained about the prices for meeting up with kids.

Numerous messages about Hansen’s cover as a “businessman” meant his frequent trips overseas wouldn’t be seen as “suspicious,” were highlighted. He also mentioned how he was going to “keep the camera busy” during his next session with underage boys.

“I am still thinking how I can milk the max out of my poolside weekend,”
he wrote.

Hansen would organize multiple boys to be sent to his hotel rooms during his stay, shower them with cheap gifts, let them swim in the pool before taking them to his room to photograph and perform sex acts with them, according to

.

“He traveled to other lands … to exploit children in limited economic circumstances to whom he gave modest rewards,” Judge Bennett said.
“There was planning, organization, and sophistication employed by the offender … in the arrangement to have these children in places to be exploited. He did not act alone, as is clear by the agreed statement of facts. There was a network but at a limited extent.”

Peter Andrew Hansen was sentenced to 19 years in prison, with a 14-year non-parole period, on Friday, June 4 after pleading guilty to 31 charges, including several counts of sexual intercourse with a child outside Australia and producing child abuse material, reports

The 63-year-old was arrested and paraded through Sydney Airport in handcuffs back in October 2018 after authorities were tipped off about his “activities” in Vietnam and the Philippines.

According to the NSW District Court, Hansen paid to meet boys, took disturbing pictures and made videos, and performed sex acts on nine children aged 10 to 14 between 2014 and 2018.
With time served, Hansen will be eligible for parole in October 2032.

This one from a "normal country like the UK"

So the successive directors at the BBC, though earning higher than the prime minister, were not paid enough to not hush it up.

Generations of journalists and police investigators weren't paid enough to do their jobs.

Maybe Sir Jimmy Savile OBE KCSG wasn't ennobled enough to keep his genitals off vulnerable pre-teens in charities he opened, or if he was a prince he would have gone for underaged teens like someone called Andrew.

Or maybe people living in glass houses basements should just stop being tossers, but that's not how things are done according to someone's normal, any replies is just proving us right.

You are right, no "humiliation" (note the quotes..), I would say a slap to the face though. It would wake up many normal Chinese people who are still used to the old times.

Thus it would create a true "whole-of-society" effort to strike back in whatever way. Innovation, decoupling, R&D etc

People often ignore how important is the people's belief on a matter. If the people suddenly coalesced around one belief that its time for China to throw the West out, then something magical would happen

This is IMO the single most important thing. Lets see if the West has the guts to provoke such a reaction. Doubt
That slap to the face from the west is going to encourage China to simply wait for the perfect opportunity so that China can bash them sense less with a crowbar. Well considering the sheer stupidity right now, it is the only way to teach the western world a lesson that is long overdue

He's right you know. Chinas rebuttals are very weak. Infact I've seen stronger rebuttals from Non Chinese lefties on Twitter with less than 100 followers (who're called Tankies and Wumaos by West).

Idk which dinosaur is in charge of Chinas Global PR. Its frankly embarrassing when accusations of genocide are countered by Uigur dancing videos . Nobody is buying that. Good for domestic consumption i guess but not at all for International audiences.

The Chinese State Media is very informative and i wished every media was like them but that's not the case. West is full of crooks and they cant be beaten through moral means.

But the recent statement from Xi regarding the new Media push has given me hope. China needs a Russian style aggressive media approach. Right now China is always in defensive mode reacting to whatever is being thrown at them. I like the aggressive foreign ministry spokesmen of China but the same aggressiveness isn't reflected in their media
