Look at this f...king bitch tweet. This is what passes as "scholarly work" for China in today's America. Imagine these howling monkeys if any of it's intellectuals were to create a tweet that would disparage America's precious demented President they would be whining like there's no tomorrow and @Mr T would come along critiquing how uncouth the Chinese intellectuals are and how unready China in the world stage because we Chinese are so backwards and s..t.

Lol if this passes for serious china analysis nowadays, we can safely say they are no better than gutter quality.

Elizabeth Economy? Economy is her last name? lol

Great rebuff from our friend.

Ex-Politician and Catholic Priest Sentenced to 19 Years for Child Exploitation

June 5, 2021

CABRAMATTA, Australia—It took Judge James Bennett more than one full workday to deliver the sentence as he methodically recounted the absolutely disgusting and grotesque details of the former ex-Sydney Labor Party figure, former lawyer, and Catholic priest’s four years of abuse.

, Judge Bennett actually read out the perverted exchanges Hansen had on an encrypted service with a man named “Mailboy Hornbag.” During this exchange, Hansen rated their images and complained about the prices for meeting up with kids.

Numerous messages about Hansen’s cover as a “businessman” meant his frequent trips overseas wouldn’t be seen as “suspicious,” were highlighted. He also mentioned how he was going to “keep the camera busy” during his next session with underage boys.

“There was planning, organization, and sophistication employed by the offender … in the arrangement to have these children in places to be exploited. He did not act alone, as is clear by the agreed statement of facts. There was a network but at a limited extent.”

Peter Andrew Hansen was sentenced to 19 years in prison, with a 14-year non-parole period, on Friday, June 4 after pleading guilty to 31 charges, including several counts of sexual intercourse with a child outside Australia and producing child abuse material, reports

The 63-year-old was arrested and paraded through Sydney Airport in handcuffs back in October 2018 after authorities were tipped off about his “activities” in Vietnam and the Philippines.

According to the NSW District Court, Hansen paid to meet boys, took disturbing pictures and made videos, and performed sex acts on nine children aged 10 to 14 between 2014 and 2018.
With time served, Hansen will be eligible for parole in October 2032.

High pay equate to good teachers? The best of humanity are the ones that prioritize noble causes over money
We have to be realistic. People need a decent salary to get by, and in a country like China today you're not going to encourage many capable people of going into a job for "noble reasons" if the pay is bad. This isn't volunteer work, it's a full-time career.

Just as the Chinese government

PLA members need a good salary.

Also I'm glad to see what China didn't attempt to interfere with the flight to Taiwan, the US delegation arrived as scheduled. Plus confirmed the US would be sending vaccine doses.

I don’t see what the problem is in regards to vaccine being provided but rather the time it took for the USA to be able to send this when an easier alternative lies across the strait, the fact that these vaccines are AstraZeneca which means blood clots and other side effects that the leadership in Taiwan is clearly ok with and it making this out as a massive win when most of the world a very skeptical about them and the fact that even if moderna or Phizer is being used (which isn’t that likely), the side effect issues are still there and the fact that if you haven’t noticed 700k vaccines isn’t much as all plus the time it takes to roll out means more people are going to get infected/killed anyway so really I don’t see how you could claim this a win of any kind. This is just a band aid on a gun shot wound after the USA has specifically stated before hand that they won’t be send supplies over but only relented now not to lose any more support world wide. This is a political stunt and really nothing more then a way for win votes from a Taiwanese public that is growing skeptical on her leadership that is failing more and more each day. Hence this is nothing to be happy about since people lives are at stake for the sake a of leader whose heart isn’t with the people.

So who think Taiwan is not part of China? This is why our friend here will never admit wrong doing by one sovereign country to another.

Who's the bad agent here? US or China? Yeah, right. We are know the answer to that. But some how in his head, with the mind bending ability of world renown gymnastic. He somehow can twist this as a victory for the wrong doer!

If anyone is in doubt with regards to Taiwan status, you dont have to believe what I say. Just look no further than the English Vegetable here stating categorically she is Chinese!

And it took almost 2 years to release a video and suspend Glen Roche from Australian "FINEST" NSW Police force for an event that happened in July, 2019. Sentencing is scheduled in August, 2021.

Why is this pervert still walking the street and was not FIRED for 2 years? We do not need such white-man's rule of law.

Disturbing video has emerged of the moment a civilian police employee assaulted a 13-year-old girl in a Cabramatta train station lift. Glenn Roche's excuses for his actions were rejected by a Magistrate. Now he has been suspended from his role with the force.

Where's the outrage from the Human Rights and Freedom monkeys peddled by Western countries? What's up @Mr T what is your defense and take on this most recent flagrant violation of "Free press." Belarus captured a western stenographer a.k.a. journalist off the plane and the whole western world went ape sh.t. China should never ever take a f..ng moral lecture from your idols because frankly speaking the western have no equal in moral, ethical depravity. It's all about hard power.

Don't want to continue this pointless debate with you as I know your agenda. This will be my last direct reply to you in this topic.
I didn't mention Chinese society, I talked about education outcomes and pay. That was something done in the demographics thread. I haven't claimed that Chinese people are against better pay for teachers. My whole argument in the demographics section was that better education, including pay, would encourage people to have children in China.

Chinese "society" also cannot increase pay for teachers, as it has no say in the process.

Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan all have pretty good education system. It didn't help their demographics. So your whole premise of better education would encourage people to have more children is false. In fact, I would point out the best education system in China places such as Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen have the lowest fertility rate in China.

Again, you talk about things that you don't have idea about. Chinese society has significant influence on teachers salaries. If not, why schools in Shanghai and Shenzhen can pay top dollars for teachers when other rural areas can not. You just can't stop bashing China no matter what.

I didn't mention the Chinese government had failed, you've assumed I was thinking about it. Xi Jinping does not personally set teachers' pay. It would also be unfair to blame him for a long-standing issue. If he's in power for another decade and ignores the issue, sure, but I'm willing to give him more time to address education.

I don't recall any discussions here about rape in non-Chinese schools. Someone I think posted an article about a rape case in India, and vincent posted an article about historic deaths of native Canadian children in schools in "response" to the SCMP article I wrote.

I didn't even mention Xi. Not sure why you are so obsessed with him.

When I posted the article I didn't mention deference to authority. I just mentioned pay. Deference could be an issue regarding why more wasn't done to challenge the teacher's behaviour sooner, but it's not necessarily relevant as to why it happened in the first place.

Besides, are you really going to tell me that Chinese are defiant against authority, in a one party state with a lot of internal security resources? I didn't call them sheep, but I think you'd be mad to say Chinese people's default reaction is to challenge authority.

Of course I am going to say Chinese are quite defiance against authority. Protests happen all the time in China. I have first hand knowledge about how protests force the local government to double the compensation for land eviction and how protests stopped the local government from building a factory near a village. Maybe you can't comprehend the notion that most people protest to protect their own interests not to topple the government. Likewise, the recent Capitol hill protest and London protests just show that the US and the UK are much more aggressive in deal with dissenters and protesters that threatened their rules.

I pointed out that your comparison didn't work because they're unpaid positions so increasing pay wouldn't logically be a solution. Also because the scandals came to light it's much less likely parents would now leave their children unsupervised, because they're less trusting. In contrast parents can't go to school with their children to protect them.

If you think a better pay would resolve this kind of issue. Then I have a bridge to sell you. A better solution is to install more secuirty camera all over schools to ensure the safety and well being of the children.
I'm not sure anyone approaching this with a fair attitude would pretend educations outcomes in China are as equal as in Europe or many other first world countries. Because a country does not have a perfect education system does not mean China's cannot be better. Education provision in many Chinese cities has improved, but there is an education gap.

In particular the article says:

"Since local governments in impoverished rural regions have failed to raise teachers’ salary levels due to their financial constraints, it is a common practice for rural schools to hire contract teachers—teachers who are employed on fixed-term contracts.

are paid lower salaries and are less-educated relative to regular teachers, and rarely receive pedagogical training."

As I mentioned in the demographics discussion, I think pay should be set at a national level across provinces so that there's more incentive to teach in rural areas. This is normal in say countries like the UK, where public sector salaries don't differ significantly from county to county.

Your attitude is like an Amercian saying "all countries have problems with gun crime, what's your point" when talking about shootings in the US. A fair minded person would accept other countries are able to deal with the issue better.

The problem is that you're too defensive. If an article about something bad happening in China is posted and someone tries to make a wider point, you assume it's an "attack on China" that needs to be shut down rather than engaged with. Hell, if you don't like the article you can ignore it. It's not like I asked you to discuss it with me.
Again, you talk about things you have no understanding of. The Chinese central government paid most of the salaries for rural teachers unlike their urban counterpart that rely more on local government.

My point is where is the money. The Chinese central government has increased education funding every year and more than other categories. So it is moving the right direction. You just saying things that everybody knows. Somehow you think you can magically fix the problem. But again where is the money.

Everyone knows your agenda. Don't pretend you come here to discuss.

DW "concerned" about Chinese influence to Hungary lol. Great propaganda video, Joseph Goebbels would be proud

Isn’t Fudan Uni way better than all the unis in Hungary by a HUGE margin? If this debacle sufficiently pisses off China and they pull out, Hungary might not get another chance even with another foreign uni for a long, loooooong time.
