DW "concerned" about Chinese influence to Hungary lol. Great propaganda video, Joseph Goebbels would be proud

The funny thing about these protestors (esp those who are carrying the Uighur/Tibet banners) is that if you ask them to accept millions of Uigyrs/Tibetain refugees into their city, they'll turn into hardcore Xenophobes the next minute.

Isn’t Fudan Uni way better than all the unis in Hungary by a HUGE margin? If this debacle sufficiently pisses off China and they pull out, Hungary might not get another chance even with another foreign uni for a long, loooooong time.

Nah this is only staged by the opposition. Orban wants the university built, among other things. Chinese investment/factories have kept the employment in Hungary high compared to other Eastern European states during the pandemic.

Lmao US is salami slicing China's Red Lines on diplomatic contacts with Taiwan
....
IMO this visit [by US senators to Taiwan] is much worse than the January's ambassador attempted visit...

As someone who admires the CIA's dirty tricks, it's not surprising that you appear to be enjoying the US's slow reneging on the 1972 Shanghai Communique, which has kept the peace for almost 50 years now:

“The United States acknowledges that all Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Strait maintain there is but one China and that Taiwan is a part of China. The United States Government does not challenge that position. It reaffirms its interest in a peaceful settlement of the Taiwan question by the Chinese themselves.”

You laugh when the US begins to renege on the above, to meddle in quite possibly the most dangerous spot in the world.

I am "laughing" or "respecting" when someone uses their brains to win something

While the US is despicable you cant help but admit it that sometimes they score some nice wins.

Dont tell me that you believed that the US would abide by this agreement till the end of time?...
Chinese should have known by now that any deal signed with the West is not worth the paper it's written on

So as a smart power, China should have readied an array of diplomatic, economic, and militarily tools to respond for possible US future actions.

It clearly shows that the US doesn't care, and it will continue salami-slicing China's redlines on contacts with Taiwan. I am expecting that soon, EU Parliament delegations will follow, then every EU country will send its own Parliament delegations etc. As I said, salami-slicing

Dont mistake me for a mindless drone or nationalist. I prefer sitting on the back and watch as the US and China make their moves on this grand strategic board.
So this time, i would say that the US scored a minor (as of now) diplomatic win

"We lied, we cheated, we stole." -- Mike Pompeo, former CIA director.
You like that, don't you? You really admire the CIA (and probably the Israel Mossad) for "scoring some nice wins", even using the most vile methods.

No, but I expected the US to be sane enough to avoid meddling in quite possibly the most dangerous place in the world.

You laugh at this, but the laugh will be on you. If the US is fully engaged against the Middle Kingdom, that would be the best time for the Sword of Jerusalem to destroy Israel.

Mr. T rather have the American corporate elites taking billions out from their corporations in the form of stock buy backs (all legal) and spending millions lobbying for lax regulations and government handouts (all legal) instead of a highly functional government based on meritocracy
I think a lot of people are misguided.

Lets take another institution that is ripe for corruption, graft and collusion; the gaming industry.

Does casinos vote for their policies or invite in external and or private organizations to monitor its operations so that dealers and are not working with gamblers to siphon off fortunes? NO.

As long as these private institutions are made of of people, who has relatives/family, they can be bought or harassed. At best they bring around a level of external interference that slows down the implementation of effective policies. At worst, it becomes a vector for foreign manipulation.

Basically if China wants to scramble fighters it can, but unless it really is just for show and they stay well the fuck away from the US plane, it could trigger a conflict. Personally I think it would be like Chinese soldiers landing on the disputed islands and planting their flag - a very good way to escalate things for no gain.

There are ways of messing with planes both electronically and physically that does not induce immediate and fatalities.

For example, you can fly a J-11B/J16 in front of a P-8/RC-135. Then pop a button and have an external fuel tank filled with corrosive red paint steaming into the aircraft behind it.

It won't kill the plane immediately, but the messy paint job costs would add up as airframes are taken off the ready line. Not even sure what it would do to high bypass turbofans.
