Mr. T rather have the American corporate elites taking billions out from their corporations in the form of stock buy backs (all legal) and spending millions lobbying for lax regulations and government handouts (all legal) instead of a highly functional government based on meritocracy

Our friend Mr T have a very simple view of the world.

Western countries = good
ROC China = good
CCP China = bad

In the US corruption is legalized through lobbying and that’s part of the reason why government expenses are so high.

Yes, but according to Mr T. That's good.

Someone seems to have been becoming more and more delusional over time. If ROC is supposed to be superior to the CCP, then can he explain as to how come the ROC has so many issues right now, all of which could be easily solved if the CCP was in charge.

I mean the current situation is literally threatening to undo Taiwan as a nation right now so really a change in leadership would be very helpful right now.

Chinese government vessels were spotted just outside Japanese territorial waters near the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea for a record 112th straight day on June 4, the Japan Coast Guard said.
“We consider this to be a very serious matter,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato said at his June 4 news conference. “We plan to deal with the issue in a calm, but firm manner.”
At this point the island are China's if it has an all time presence there. Next step is troops landing there and setting up a Chinese flag...

“The Diaoyu Islands and affiliated islands are Chinese territory, so the sailing of Chinese Coast Guard ships in those waters is a valid measure based on law,” Wang Wenbin, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman

I think it is time for China to make a stand. There is still too much wishful thinking within China that wanting to deescalate the tension and appease the US.

Lmao US is salami slicing China's Red Lines on diplomatic contacts with Taiwan

China made all this fuss about the nobody US ambassador to UN planned visit to Taiwan

Lets see how they will react to the "bipartisan congressional delegation" visit to Taiwan

IMO this visit is much worse than the January's ambassador attempted visit...

I mean what options does China have except diplomatic protests? Do suggest. Taking a stand is a vague term. One has to be more specific.

Obviously thats not our job.

When China imposed their red lines they should have prepared for this thing happening eventually, unless they idiotically believed that they would be friends with the US forever (doubt)

I am hopefull that China already had a prepared list of measures they could take. IMO whats most worrying is that the US is prepared to escalate this

This bipartisan congressional delegation is more serious than the Trumpian attempt to have their UN ambassador visit Taiwan

See who these members are, straight up escalation
Tammy Duckworth and Dan Sullivan of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Christopher Coons of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will visit the island on Sunday as part of a larger trip to to the Indo-Pacific region

Technically speaking those Senators don't represent the US Govt . Unless China has made an official policy of barring politicians across the World from visiting Taiwan then i don't see why China should be angry.
All i want is China to go beyond diplomatic protests. I read that China was ready to scramble jets when the UN Ambassador visit was planned. Why not do the same here and show that you mean business?
