As i I said, Iran can survive this by initiating Tiananmen 2.0. Complete crackdown on the protesters and labeling them as foreign traitors, which Khamenei just did in his speech.

Iran's biggest weapon is the loyal IRGC which is kinda like the PLA, a force of the regime with political beliefs rather than a national armed force. With IRGC in firm control, and ready to shoot down all protests, they can stay in firm control.

What exactly is the ideology of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard? Does the party it is loyal to uphold "serving the people" as its core belief? Please do not compare such an army and party to the PLA and CPC; I believe this is disrespectful to the latter.
If a political party is corrupt and outdated, it should be allowed to disappear or reform; it should not be allowed to linger on simply because it is a force resisting the United States.
I do not oppose political parties taking drastic measures in critical moments, but first, that party must prove itself worthy of the people's trust.

This is standard language for international diplomacy, which has its own protocols and rituals, this is not some arm-chair geopolitics reddit forum.

I've always wondered why British empire, Roman empire, and American empire have such low endurance, and you can see why with American and their export controls against China. The moment they sense they are weak, they go apeshit, which backfires, a vicious cycle of decline. Rather than competing, they resort to protectionism, banning, or outright annexing/stealing resources. Like you said, they got lucky as virtually unscathed in WW2 and pissed away their advantage within a generation of end of Cold War....a sight to behold. The lottery winner who blows their fortune is really a good analogy.

Your pointless idealism doesnt work in the modern world of realpolitic. This is the world trump and wolf warriors. Your idealism is history.

Just because your life lacks ideals and beliefs doesn’t mean everyone else should be like you, and you definitely shouldn’t look down on those who are willing to strive for what they believe in.

As far as I know, the IRGC is more similar to what the PLA was like before Jiang Zemin banned the PLA from engaging in or owning businesses. They have ownership of large chunks of Iran's economy (telecom, infrastructure, energy, etc) so they have an interest in maintaining the status quo.

Those are raiding empires. As long as raiding continues, they prosper. Just like the first generation Mongols. Advancements comes from loot, not from competition or self-driven/internal developments. Romans weren't totally dependent on raiding. British and American decline is caused by recent raiding failures, one after another, and losing potential for more global loot.
