Vietnam lifts birth restrictions to address demographic challenges
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly passed the revised Ordinance on Population on June 3, abolishing the regulation that limited each couple to having only one or two children.
(I didnt know VN had "2 child policy" b4, also are they also having "demographic issue"?)

I didn't know that either. Although it's not one child, it really blows a hole in the narrative that any birth limits will cause demographic issues.

Speaking of which, I noticed the media haven't talked much about China's low birthrates recently. I guess when even India has a birth rate less than 2.1, trying to mock China for a global problem seems rather stupid.

Not to mention the proposed solution for westoids is more immigrants who look nothing like them, I'm sure thats going to go well with an increasingly right wing population.

China welcomes the decision of Pakistan and Afghanistan to upgrade diplomatic ties to ambassadorial level.

This is an important and positive move taken by the two countries to deliver on the outcomes of the China-Afghanistan-Pakistan informal foreign ministers’ meeting in May. China stands ready to continue playing a constructive role in improving Pakistan-Afghanistan relations.

I think these 2 tried to smuggle something against or neutral to Chinese wishes into the US to study at an American lab in Michigan. I basically cannot think of any instance where you bring a sample from lab A to lab B for study at the detriment of lab B. This person also didn't think it was a big deal because if she thought it would be a high stakes game with US customs, a fungus can easily be smuggled by smearing some spores into a hankerchief and folding it away into your luggage. The only way she could have been caught is if she brought test tubes/petri dishes with samples inside.

This is a pretty good local report. The BF had some suspicious items hidden in a crunched up tissue and some baggies of organic material. Possibly the dumb BF brought it over to study it with lab equipment in the gf's lab that he did not have access in China.
