The fact that top Chinese leaders children still try to study and live in the west is a terrible example for China. It shows the western worshipping nature of the Chinese even among the top leadership. China cannot become a true self-respecting nation unless they stop western and white worship
For those that still do, there are 2 main lines of thought:
1. Life is too easy in the US for stupid people. A Chinese kid who didn't study and who's not smart in China is pretty much screwed. If he's not smart enough to be in STEM, Chinese society doesn't mince words and we call these people idiots who couldn't make it in a real major. But sent to an American school, they can actually make a really nice living in the US. These kids often get sent to art/design schools and they'd be trash in China but in America, they're sometimes 6 figure earners. I think, "senior designer" onto "creative director" is the goal.
2. There is still some skill to learn from America; insert a straw and suck it dry while we still can.
Modi: India must become 3rd largest economy in the world in 2047. Time to boycott
all foreign goods and forget about business benefits. Operation Sindoor shouldn't be only the military's work, it's a work of 1.4 billion indians. India today is not that India 20 years ago. We don't need foreign goods.
They're so angry and stupid. They don't see that they are going the path of North Korea, not China. China became great because we were so painfully humble in learning the best from everywhere. Chinese people remember that the reason we started at such a low point compared to the West in modern history despite being ahead of them for the milleniums before then is because we closed ourselves off to the world and thus, got left back. Indians are about to make this mistake... with the saving grace that they may not because I doubt they can get any directive done.
DPRK weightlifter Ro Kwang Ryol beat Li Dayin to the gold in the Asian Weightlifting Championship of 2025, and the Chinese team pulls the most disrespectful and unsportsmanlike move I have ever seen in the sport, bumping into Ro and one of his coaches, a lady.
1. This is extremely unlike the Chinese team. I bet there is more to this story and I bet the North Koreans offended us before this clip.
2. North Korea is one of, if not the most disrespected team in weightlifting because they are blatant cheaters. China always maintains a presense at the top, but North Korea comes and goes in cycles. When they come, it's because they've come out from a drug ban or episode where they expelled all foreign drug testers in their country for several years so they doped up their athletes for all these years straight at maximum dose. Then, they announce that they're open to competing again and allow drug tests. These lifters have all the benefits from those doping years so straight out; first performance, every one on their new team which no one has ever heard of is a world record breaker or challenger! Then, their performance tapers off and they get worse over the years and they get beaten because they've spent too many years under international drug testing so the benefits from the dopathon are wearing off. So then they go into seclusion again, find some reason to expel WADA and dope up another generation of young North Koreans. The last cycle started in 2012 London when they performed incredibly well with Kim UnGuk and Om YunChol (as well as some females) being unbeatable. China ended their cycle by crushing them at the 2015 worlds and 2016 Rio Olympics. They fucked off and haven't been worth a shit for years, and threw out WADA from North Korea over COVID. Skipped Tokyo Olympics. Their current cycle started last year, 1 year before Paris Olympics when their new team opened up early 2024 and all new no-name lifters broke world records left and right. They did not qualify for Paris because they need to be active for over 18 months to qualify so the fight is on for LA 2028. Will they hang on for 1 Olympic cycle or will China end them before then? Normally, USADA would shove test tubes up their asses and their coaches asses at middle-of-the-night random testing 4 times a day but with their fear of China, hoping that North Korea can sap up some of our gold medals, that seems unlikely. (At the Houston 2015 Worlds, USADA busted like 20 people, some champions, some nobodies with an unprecedentedly strict testing regiment, which did not catch any Chinese lifters, however, a clearly doping female-turned-male-looking Bulgarian named Kostova Boyanka and North Korean Om Yun Chol were spared, because disqualifying them would give China their gold medals.)
If the IWF implemented a rule that after exiting from WADA testing, you need to be tested clean for as long as you exited in order to compete again (ie. if you skirt testing for 6 years, you need to test clean for 6 years before you are permitted to compete), they would be finished and I think that that is an extremely fair rule. Who the fuck kicks out WADA??!! That's the most guilty shit possible in professional sports!
