It seems from the picture that there is sufficient spacing at least for 6 cell VLS - weight issue aside. This would provide the LCS credible AAW capability given the prospective threat of operating in China's backyard. .
On the Independence class the space between the gun and missile rack is reserved for hellfire launchers as jura and several of us through the years have waid the lack of VLS on LCS is appalling

I leave out the question of how many Mk41 eight-cell modules (about 6.7 meters long, don't know how wide, but not much) might fit in that space and how,
as it's irrelevant

Its my understanding and indeed Jura among others have posted various versions of the Independence class and almost if not all of them have a mk41 located further aft close to the SeaRam location and also in the FFGX proposal Independence class have them actually aft of the hanger

Overall, though, he was optimistic about achieving IOC by the end of September.

“We’ve proven that the systems work,” he said.
“Will we have issues every now and then? Yes we will. Some of these systems have been in development a long time, it’s time to bring them together and do the end-to-end run and prove them out.”
