Need to watch the youtube video to get the sense what I posted about, look at minute 10:05, turn on the English subtitle by clicking CC.

I have seen the video, though I still do not fully understand what you are saying. Are you saying what I labeled as an Indian base camp is actually Chinese? And what does he mean by "wrong side?"

It clearly stated that the red circle is the Chinese base and it is near the waterfall, there is a road that lead to the larger base.

It means China needs to put troops there if there is a confrontation "We're gonna put a lot of troops down here...."...

In that case this was a misunderstanding on my part. Thank you for clarifying

Hi, cyclist*. Glad to have a diversion from the fruitless exchange.

I am not assuming, it's the reality. Pakistan can't keep up with India even if it grew as fast as India ( without the unique Issues it faces since long ) because it faces population, resource and geographic constraints. Textiles and Pink salt - Two things I can identify with Pakistan's economy ( an admittedly bad take but...).

India's economic growth is not miraculous like SK/JP/CN but robust like Indonesia. India has pockets of economic vitality and has considerable HR to tap into Western economic engine.

Not saying Pakistan is a pushover ( never would I say that). But the diplomatic, economic and military heft of India is only growing. Are you sure that Pakistan wouldn't face a situation akin to North Korea in the distant future - sanctions and censure?

( I'm not knowledgeable regarding histories of Hindu-Muslim conflict and dynamics. Although I should be. I'm not knowledgeable about ME, Central Asia histories among a lot of other things. Does that have relevance over today's war where things are much complex than people fighting with swords and spears ?)

And I'll be around too, Mohsin77.
Getting to a North Korea situation would be an upgrade to both countries. Look at access to water, sanitation, life expectancy, literacy. Even from western sources, North Korea beats both easily.

North Korea is a poor country, but the standard of life is significantly better than in Pakistan or India. Both countries were destroyed by colonialism and have struggled since independence.

Pakistan seems to be betting on China, India on the west. Given how the western economy has been for the past 10 years, I think I know who the winner is going to be.

Exactly. The West offers military sales to India.
China offers CPEC and industrialisation to Pakistan.

There is no comparison here. Pakistan just needs to deal with internal corruption and political problems, and it will rocket economically

Btw do we have any news on China-India negotiations for the border areas?

Negotiations have stalled.

The action has shifted to Arunachal /South Tibet. Maybe it is temporary but likely it isn't because winter has begun and that makes Ladakh a hell for both militaries.

The subtropical/lower alpine areas of South Tibet is anyway better. So the noises from that region.
