Sorry to interrupt, the beginning of your problem is here, Xsizor. You assume that Pakistan can not keep up with India and you guarantee that ever growing of India. Why are you so sure?

Big population does not mean a guarantee, example Japan with powerful economy, military and diplomacy too. Pakistan is quite respected in the majority Muslims nations. Please correct me if I am wrong, don't forget the history how majority Hindu population was conquered by Muslims sultanate (which now reside in Pakistan).
Hi, cyclist*. Glad to have a diversion from the fruitless exchange.

I am not assuming, it's the reality. Pakistan can't keep up with India even if it grew as fast as India ( without the unique Issues it faces since long ) because it faces population, resource and geographic constraints. Textiles and Pink salt - Two things I can identify with Pakistan's economy ( an admittedly bad take but...).

India's economic growth is not miraculous like SK/JP/CN but robust like Indonesia. India has pockets of economic vitality and has considerable HR to tap into Western economic engine.

Not saying Pakistan is a pushover ( never would I say that). But the diplomatic, economic and military heft of India is only growing. Are you sure that Pakistan wouldn't face a situation akin to North Korea in the distant future - sanctions and censure?

( I'm not knowledgeable regarding histories of Hindu-Muslim conflict and dynamics. Although I should be. I'm not knowledgeable about ME, Central Asia histories among a lot of other things. Does that have relevance over today's war where things are much complex than people fighting with swords and spears ?)

Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.

And I'll be around too, Mohsin77.

By the time the British started involving itself in the subcontinent, there were no major Muslim powers in South Asia. Most of modern India was controlled by the marathas, while the northwest was dominated by the Sikh Empire until the mid nineteenth century. Maps made by the British themselves show this.

Don't see how that is relavent to this discussion.
I only know that Mughal Empire lasted from 1526–1857 had territory that as big as India today. And based on what I read, its state religion was Islam, so I considered that as majority Hindu population ruled by minority Muslims. My main point is that small country can conquest big country and can grow powerful too. Pakistan hopefully with the successful implementation of CPEC project will be a strong country and properous.

This thread is way out of topic anyway since Xsizor debates with Mohsin77 regarding Pakistan and India.

Let's see if CPEC will make Pakistan grow robust like Indonesia too (economic growing). There are many talented Pakistanis (inside Pakistan and abroad) and I don't think Pakistan is a closed country North Korea because many Pakistani are also in UK/US/Australia. With Afghanistan already be freed from Western nations occupation, Pakistan has a growing role now too in security of Afghanistan and Belt and Road initiative (diplomatic role growing).

Few decades ago, Pakistan GDP was bigger than India and China.

Following the death of Aurangzeb, the Mughal empire began to decline in power and eventually became an empire in name only, with the emperor being a figurehead in Delhi installed by the marathas.

Indeed. I think we're already starting to turn around a string of bad decades in recent times. The plan though, is not just to 'match' any one country, but to live up to the vision our founders had for us. For a nation no one expected to even be born, let alone survive, we've persevered, despite the odds and our own mistakes. I have high hopes that we'll get there eventually.

I think a good video that summarize events regarding the photos/video leaked these past few weeks. Turn on CC for English subtitle.

Indian soldiers were blindfolded because they were taken to/from PLA base so not to reveal much secret. They needed to be taken to PLA base because of the injuries so PLA treated them first before returned them to India.
