By then the Indian troops might not be able to pull out even if they wanted to if they snows hit hard.

I bet the Indians would find a way to blame the Chinese if their troops froze/starved to death on the mountains because the Indians themselves could not supply them.

Fabric tents would keep the wind off, that’s about all, as they would not be able to retain much if any heat in the kinds of extremes they will endure if forced to spend all winter camped out there. There is a good reason no one goes camping in the winter even at ground level.

Mountaineers use tents out of necessity. But they are only out on the mountains for weeks, not months, and would all be supplemented by the best survival gear money can buy. There is a reason it costs tens to hundreds of thousands to climb Everest. Your Indian soldier is not going to have anything like that level of gear; they will be staying still and not walking, which would help to keep mountaineers warm during the day; they will be on site for the whole winter, so that’s much longer they will be burning their bodily reserves; and they face the real possibility of having their supply lines cut by weather.

It will be a miracle if the Indian army does not suffer KIAs to the elements if they try to hold their positions throughout winter, with the main question probably being how many dead they take and whether entire camps and outposts gets wiped out by Mother Nature.

Chinese psychOps in January won’t be about Indians going home, it will be, come surrender if you want to live, or stay and become human popsicles.

In that case hot pots might be a better psyop option in January.

The aroma of hot food, curry, roti naan and dhal plus Indian songs, young women chatting and the warm yellow light emitted from an electrical light bulb with sound of generator running, from PLA position at Gurung hill table top 400m above Indian camp 1, in a chilling freezing night, that is psy-op that will break the hearts of those in canvas tents.

China killed 20, captured 10, then released 10.

You trying to tell me, India killed 43, but captured ZERO, NADA, LING 零??

And with such an amazing whopping, no Indian soldier captured this on camera? (i'm sure PLA has the photos/videos, most definitely).

Logically, even Indians can't explain that.

I think it was reported 60 Indian soldiers were captured. 50 Indian soldiers were released a day later and 10 more including an Indian colonel and 2 majors were released 3 days later.

This video show how the Indian soldiers really fight in a battle.

Not to mention that the bodies were recovered downstream of the Galwan River, which is held by the Indians. If PLA soldiers suffered massive casualties then how come not even a single corpse was recovered?

60 captured, not just 10. And also, there are reports of as many as 50 killed that day.
