Oh God It's like chicken talking to duck.
In modern warfare, a commanding officer don't show their braveness by having their heads smashed upon. They just don't. Stop reading The romance of three kingdoms. You think you are playing the 7 captures of Meng Huo? How silly is that?
About Hong Kong, it's supposed to be a no-lose situation for China. Yet China let the situation deteriorated over the course of two decades, and in the end, had to resort to drastic measures that they should have done long time ago. And the price? In the number of trillions of dollars because it got inevitablely connected to Taiwan.

And you think war is just between two parties. How naive is that.

I bet they'll come back again. May not be at exact same location, but rest assured.
You do not acknowledge the positives only talk of all things negatively of the issues involved. Are you an out of control extremist Chinese nationalist or an undercover Indian?

The Quad isn't the be all regarding an alliance to confront China. As long as the factors that created Quad exists, the idea of Quad will remain.

So, Quad will not fizzle out.
@Xsizor correct for Japan and Australia the Quad is a hedge against China, but there is a rethink especially the 2 country that I mentioned just look at the map if they impose a blockade or a war who will suffer the most. The entire Asia region will be affected and they know it, there will be pushback from ASEAN (even Vietnam) and SK, SCS is the lifeline of the Asia Pacific Region and nobody want to rock the boat as we speak. The Quad didn't anticipate that China will act decisively and that alone skewed their plan. And I think there is an inevitable feeling that China had won the SCS contest. All the parties involved want a peaceful solution and a COC will be concluded within a year or two. Only in the India Ocean is a concern but with B&R it will negated that.

But CCP has to do better. Saying every decision they made was great like some folks here displayed doesn't help at all. No complacency allowed.

Why did PLA release the num now? Because the number TASS reported made PLA's position untenable. They have to clarify. If so, why leave people in the dark earlier? To pacify your opponent? Are they that easily pacified?

I've ranted enough.
No, you will not stop renting because you have a anti China agenda.

I don't always understand or agree with what the CCP chooses to do, but I always respect and support it because the CCP delivers results no other government in the world can do for their nations.

Personally, when I heard that 4 comrades died in an ambush, my first instinct is to take no prisoners, kill every Indian we can find and catch, and then go hunting for more. Collect a mountain of Indian corpses and show them to the world. Tell them if they want their dead back, they can hire Russians to carry them because we kill any Indian on sight. Advance the line with heavy weaponry and keep every centimeter we capture. Every time they say anything, point to our 4 brothers and say "This isn't over; you have nothing that can balance this."

Butttt... The CCP doesn't seem to agree with me. It appears that they have likely come to some agreement with the Indians that after totally humiliating them, to let them save face and end the conflict so China can focus on actual rival countries. At least that's what it looks like to me. I can only support that and trust that they know what's best like they always do.

For any Chinese person, you may disagree with the CCP, but when you disrespect or go against them, say you know better, then you go against all of China and its interests. Follow the plan, follow the leadership. Teamwork over personal choice.
My first respond was the same, why China did not invade India, teach them a hard, not forgetable , defeat lesson, China's war machines almost all are better than India, but after I think deeply, China made the right decision.
China still need a lot of money to build, to innovate, and to overcome other big problems.
If China continue war with India, China will have casualities more than 4 right? maybe 400, maybe 4000 if the goal is New Delhi despite of modern war machines. So why must China sacrifice till that point? Whatever happen in Sino Indian border is to defend motherland, not to expand territory. China still need a lot of money, and must buy time to face the real enemy like you said. To have thousand nuclear warheads, bunch of new SSBNs, best ABM systems, lots of J20, J10D, J16, etc. really needs huge budget, not mention self sufficient in core technologies.

Even if it's an MiD, it is still higher in rank than the ordinary memento awarded by Manipur CM.
So your claim that he got higher award thanks to video is wrong.
So now you are saying that he just received a mug as an appreciation gift? Well, then why call that an award? LOL!

In any case, MiD is not an award. Its a nomination. No medals, no trophies, just a name on a list. You clearly have a problem understanding how the world works. I'm ending this dumb discussion here.

Things are progressing quite fast for India. One day after a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan. Another round of disengagement talks with China.

The 75-minute phone call between Chinese diplomat Wang Yi and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar saw both officials agree to a “disengagement” of forces from the area around Pangong Tso lake, with the two figures pledging to work to “quickly resolve the remaining issues.”
Now they are working on Pangong Tso Lake.

There appears to be a cultural of rewarding failures within the IA and it seems to pervade all three branches. You’ve got Abhinandan being awarded high honors for being shot down and held captive and the Su-30 pilots received decorations for dodging AIM-120s!

I recall this bit of news causing quite a bit of stir when it was first released in 2011. I was skeptical when I first saw this but I am skeptical no longer. Seems like basic competency is an issue here.

I have no doubt whatsoever, I can think of three key words to describe all, Caste, Corruption and Kickbacks.

In 2021- Total number of Indian security forces killed by ISI backed insurgents in Kashmir is 4.

In 2021- Total number of Pakistani security forces killed by Indian RAW backed insurgents in Waziristan and Balochistan is 31.

This itself shows who has upper hand.

No wonder Pakistan was pleading for a temporary ceasefire.
Small mistake. It is 30.
