Given the obviously imbalanced power comparison between India and China, it would shock me that if Indian dare to go too far away.

Didn't stop them in 2020.

I cannot stop myself from thinking about their shameful defeat in 1962. Indian leadership needs more military education.

How can you be so sure that it would go that way this time? Back then PLA had veterans among it's ranks who'd seen combat but right now PLA is mainly a green force and thought that China automatically wins is based on fallacy of thinking what happened before will happen again.

Indian Army had failed to reform after so many attempts to do so. It is still a pre-Cold war era military that has shown no new capabilities to fight a modern war. For Chinese Army, it has underwent dramatically changes over the years even at the expenses of temporary weakening its military powers. Modern wars are fought with logistics and information, which Indians have shown to be weak at.

I thought by 1962, there are not many veterans left from the civil war and Korean war. Especially the units that fought are different. Officers are all veterans, but not the troops.

India had wars with Pakistan and was fighting insurgencies in Kashmir and invading princely states/foreign colonies in India like Goa. I don't see how Indians lacked experience back then.

I don't see anyone claiming China automatically wins, that would be stupid. However it's hard to ignore the facts. In 1962 India and China were close, you could argue that Indians were better equipped thanks to the British Indian army. Despite that the Indians were routed.

Now it'll be a modern army fighting against effectively a third world army. Nothing is a guarantee but if Indians win it'll be a modern version of Isandlwana.

And what's the Indian military advantage over the PLA? The French army in the Franco-Prussian war was supposed to be the baddest mofo's around since the Fench Army consisted of battle hardened veterans compared to the Prussian Army who were mostly green. The end result was that the French Army was defeated in the war of 1870 - 1871 that victory led to the creation/formation for a united German republic.

Your dismissive of the potential PLA military potency against the I.A. is also a fallacy and not based on anything other than your own assumptions.

The primary difference and similarities between the Prussian Army and the PLA is the reforms, education, and military studies that's embedded in their core military culture I.e. the serious study of war.

What's the Indian Army/Military doing? They're also looking into streamlining their command theaters mimicking what the PLA has already done few years prior. The doctrine between two militaries are not and day, the equipment, the high-tempo training, and most importantly the $$$ to fund a serious military to exact serious damage to any adversary.
