It seems to have caused quite the reaction.
When was Qi Fabao captured? Why do they always talk out of their behind?
Even funnier. Since when was he mounting an attack on Indian forces at Galwan Valley? There is clear video evidence that he was ambushed by a vastly numerically superior Indian force, invading into Chinese territory. They talk from their behind too much.

Yet even with all that dirty trick, Qi Fabao never ran away from the fight. And the Indians would still lose the Battle Of Galwan Valley in the most humiliating fashion possible, a rout. Now that is a bad ass story. Qi Fabao truly deserves his status as a hero.

Meanwhile, India has Abhinandan Varthaman.

But the Indian government had to take this action to save face from their nationalists and their illiterate elites who must have demanded for their government to show that they're a supapowah India despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Imagine Pakistan getting upset that the Indian pilot whom they captured and made to drink excellent tea was given an award of recognition for what? Drinking tea I guess. The Indians are beyond petty because as of right now their politics are being led by narrow minded people not to mention jealous idiots who can't stomach that a Communist run China has leaped frog India in just about every important sectors of economics, science, military, Healthcare, and effective political system.

Hypothetically speaking if India withdrawl claim on AC and aim to be cooperate in regional issues, would China likely drop AP claim?

China would have in the late 1990s. Now is too late.
In terms of strategic interest a friendly India is better than a piece of land. But if the claimed land is a matter of principle then the short term interest can be put aside. The question is how serious is the claim on AP? Is it similar to Taiwan that they want no matter what or was it just made purely as a response to AC claim?

You think China didn’t want a friendlier India? In the late 90s they were willing to make concessions but the Indians refused.

This is made on hypothetical situation where India do commit to a friendlier relation.
You don't just "commit". You have to credibly demonstrate that you want to become friendly. This would require a series of concrete actions that India would have to first take before China believes that India has really changed.

For now, trust is 0. India has repeatedly shown that it is utterly untrustworthy
