Gen Naravane is on record to have rebutted news about clash last year, later Indian Army Chief proved wrong,is the Indian Army lying again? Even Modi said, 'na koi hamari seema mein ghuss aya hai,na hi ghussa hua hai,na koi bhi hamari posht kissy kay kabzay mein hai'.later we found that Indian Army lost 1450 sq kms in Ladakh and 15 large and small post were gone..
Pravin Sawhney has also rebutted Shukla's article. Is he lying? The rest is nothing but random numbers pulled out of thin air without evidence.

You're correct on those. I didn't say Indian government and military cannot lie. They have. I'm saying will this be a repeat of Modi's lie in the past? It would be too embarrassing if they are caught again on such a grand lie. I'm therefore more inclined to think they've thought the statement through carefully and worded it carefully.

Wow! So India can build up 1200km of roads for its army in a hurry? Bravo!

So what about for the rest of India? Surely the average Indians need better roads too?

Don't the average Indians deserve better infrastructure in a hurry? India already missed its 2020 goal to overtake China and become a superpower. At least we should see some signs that it is heading it that direction. No?

BTW, what is the story of that Indian HSR project? If only it was built for the Indian Army or for Modi's personal transport. Then maybe it could finally start moving.

Also, could it be that Ajai Shukla is right - that a Galwan confrontation took place (not necessarily a clash) - and that was the reason for India deploying the 50,000 soldier to Ladakh border? These soldiers were reportedly diverted from Pakistan border to Chinese border. It makes some sense.

So the Army is now bullying news publications to carry out rebuttals? Also what exactly are the "malafide intentions" of Shukla?
Probably painting the army in a bad light? Showing willful ignorance in front of adversity is a sign of cowardice and incompetence. Maybe Ajai Shukla's article provoked due to the perceived indirect messaging.

Shukla has been a drama queen with his exaggerations since the beginning of this standoff.

He may be right about movements, something India has not denied. Movements on both sides but movements that may not have resulted in confrontation or clashes and movements that did not result in either group ending up in violation of Pangong and Galwan buffer. Who knows what the specifics may be even if there were movements. Shukla is at best greatly exaggerating this into another one of his "China's invaded sacred Indian land!" episodes.

It was reported that India moved 50,000 troops to the Chinese border a week or so back. Maybe a confrontation did take place. It was surprising that India would shift soldiers from the Pakistan theater to China border. I am sure something happened. Ofcourse, the specifics would be up for debate.
