What does it matter? The Indian military is and was run by commanders who make up these fanciful stories that nobody familiar with human physical performance could possibly believe. What other countries have military officers, retired or otherwise spewing such garbage? It is testament to the overall quality and philosophy of the Indian military, which is that when the truth sucks, make up fantasies for the domestic masses and give out medals to back up those stories. It seems that this coping mechanism has worked so well for them that they are no longer even inclined to actually (try to) succeed in real life because the fantasy is there for them to lay back down on. All Indian tales of successes (or rather lack of failure) should be disregarded unless confirmed by a source not known for comedic lies.
