India has never had any permanent post east of Dhan Singh Thapa, and doesn't even have road connection between fingers 3 and 4. As for hot Springs, ther is only one Indian and Chinese post in the disputed area between the differring perceptions. This is EAST of pp15, in an area neither side had occupied before. There were more, but they got moved back last July. The issue for both sides isn't forward camps that can be quickly removed, but supporting infrastructure, artillery and armor further back.

The current situation in Hot Springs and Gogra is quite clear, there is no need to speculate.

Seems so. But Hot Springs wasn't discussed.

And I'm the last one to speculate.

The Google map you cité is nigh useless.

The Google map was updated last winter, AFTER the partial disengagement in July. So unless something changed in the past two months(which is unlikely), the current ground reality is clearly shown there.

That Google map merely shows the Gogra Post at PP17 A. Nothing new or useful.

That's it. Why cite this map over and over again? Doesn't show any new development there outside of the posts.

If China had secured its claim line, it would now control up to Burtse, 10 km west of the bottleneck/lac(which it reached in 2013, most of Hot Springs up to the Chang Chenmo Valley, Finger 2, the entirety of Demchok, and over half of the Inidan side of the Galwan Valley, or even the entirety going by recent Chinese embassy statements. The LAC that both sides disengaged from is the same lac that existed before 2020, as shown by this CIA map released in 2004.

Then again, Pravin Sawhney has been saying that in 2020, there will be a major "algorithm war" between India and China. That date has been pushed to 2024.

Not just Technology but also Discipline, organization, Mobilization, logistics etc.
Infact, I thought detractors saw Chinese tech as sub-par. So what happened?

China was honed by its interactions with USSR and the vast border in the north. The PLA army is merely showing that capability. The interactions with US and Co (Japan) has honed the Navy and Airforce.

India had Pakistan (and China ofc) to hone itself.

So this person is Anti-Modi party? It helps to build a profile of all these talking heads so we can get a nuanced view of things.

There is not much difference between him and the senior politician - party member who claimed that they will get back Aksai Chin soon though.

I sometimes cannot fathom how gigantic the vast territory of China is.... like this area is basically Middle East/Subcontinent, and barren uninhabitable frozen land.... it's crazy that China is so huge and territorial vast. Takes a lot of effort to monitor all this frontier land, kudos to PLA for their hard work and sacrifice.
