no idea, but it's clearly the latest production version of ws10

Are you sure? I miss the serrated nozzle-feathers and the J-10C behind actually looks like one using an AL-31FN!

Some rumours are on stating that several / dozens (?) of newly-built J-20s about to be handed over to a unit within the Northern Theater Command.

Overall a new unit makes sense given the 176th Brigade in late 2016, the 172nd Brigade in late 2017 and the 9th Brigade in late 2019 receiving the first J-20s it almost looks like a pattern.

A little summary then, with questions:
176th brigade received J20 in late 2016. This was the first unit, and AFAIK, it's a test and training unit.
172nd brigade received J20 in late 2017/early 2018. But this seems to be a very mixed unit. Is it a training unit?
9th brigade received J20 anywhere from late 2018 to late 2019. (exact start seems to be in question) This seems to be a regular frontline unit?
1st brigade started conversion to J20 in early 2020. This appears to be a regular frontline unit?
85th brigade is also rumored to have started receiving some J20 in 2020. This would also be a regular frontline unit?

Test/training units are unlikely to be at 24 J-20 each, are they?

And do we even have info on a brigade that is made up entirely only of J20 planes? And if so, how many are there per such a brigade?

Unfortunately I have only few answer but one more question: Since when is the "85th brigade is also rumored to have started receiving some J20 in 2020"? It's the first time I hear that.
