Sightings of J-20 at Anshan has persisted for around a year.

According to this CCTV report, J-20 has performed encirclement of an "island". Is it possible that they already flew around Taiwan undetected:eek:? The narration happens around the 2:30 mark.

Yes, of course we've had rumours for it for around a year.
I'm just saying that this news report confirming J-20s in NTC is really just a technical "tickbox" for academic purposes -- and doesn't really tell us anything new, while simultaneously displaying just how behind official state media is in confirming things that we've known about like new aircraft deliveries/service.

And I'd be somewhat surprised if J-20s had operated around Taiwan already. Not impossible, but doubtful, for obvious reasons of the relatively new state of J-20 being in PLA service, the relatively limited numbers of J-20s in service, etc.

According to news reports: "The J-20 fighters are equipped with multiple air force hero units." The J-20 fighters should have served more than two combat units of the Air Force. In addition to the Wang Hai Brigade王海大队 and the Strong force Pioneer Brigade强军先锋大队,there should be other combat units Equipped with J-20 fighters, then, what other combat units are the flying brigade?

First unofficial high def I’ve seen for a while. Note the absence of luneburg lens and application of RAM tape around landing gear covers.

I think the luneberg lens is still there if you can look carefully near the landing gear doors. Btw, is the black coating around the doors supposed to reduce the gaps caused by the seams?

No the luneburg lense is either missing or retracted. It should be cylindrical.
