The fact they choose now to reveal it, is likely an indication that they have truly been in service at Anshan for an extended period of time already.
Which in turn makes us ask what current other new units are receiving fresh J-20s...
Indeed ... and once again I get that feeling that we are at least half a year if not more behind in knowing what's truly going on.
Probably more like a year behind at this point.

Sightings of J-20 at Anshan has persisted for around a year.
According to this CCTV report, J-20 has performed encirclement of an "island". Is it possible that they already flew around Taiwan undetected
? The narration happens around the 2:30 mark.

Technically the wording is along with line of "plaaf units as exemplified by xxx flight group and xxx flight group have in recent years done xxx, cruise around island,.." did not specify it was done with j20.

I found the serrated nozzles of the WS-10C in the video. This should significantly improve both infrared and radar stealth.
