These analysts are decades late. There is something called Look Down Shoot Down or LDSD in Pulse Doopler mode that is meant to track targets flying low. In addition there is something called MTI or Moving Target Indicator that discriminates moving target from ground, sea or surface clutter. Lookdown shootdown modes improve targeting aircraft with a non-sky backdrop, but there still could be situations where mountains physically block line of sight. It would depend on local terrain and how high both planes are flying.

I'm not sure how old this video is, but this is or these are clearly WS-10C powered J-20As and WS-10B-powered J-10Cs!
But given that it shows J-10C 5-05 (or -09 ?) I assume it to be older.

How good is the Helmet mounted Display in J-20. Does it provide HUD directly onto the helmet? F-35 provides that. F-35 also has the ability to project night vision and 360 degree view of the sky from the helmet. Does J-20 helmet have that ability?
